
Associate Scientist - Technology Access Program

We are seeking an Associate Scientist - Technology Access Program with a passion for innovation to augment our novel biomarker detection and quantitation capability on Alamar’s novel technology platform. In this position, the scientist will be working very closely with industrial, pharmaceutical, and academic clients to expand the market and develop novel tools for various research areas. You will be working in a fast-paced environment on multiple projects and will be a part of a rapidly growing company to make a big impact in life science research and early disease diagnosis.
Primary Responsibilities include:
- Design and execute experiments to develop new biomarker assays, explore innovative methods to enhance assay performance, and optimize processes to ensure reliability and accuracy
- Maintain documentation and conduct analysis of large PCR and sequencing datasets, prepare summary reports and present to internal and external stakeholders
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the timely and accurate completion of deliverables
- Develop novel applications, review scientific literature and cultivate collaborations with KOLs
Requirements include:
- Masters degree in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or a related discipline with a minimum of 1-2 years of industrial immunoassay development experience. A B.S. degree with extensive relevant industry experience may also be considered.
- Stay current with advances in immunoassay technologies and regulatory requirements.
- Ability to manage multiple complex projects under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of emerging reagents, immunoassay technologies, biomarker discovery, assay prototyping, performance optimization, and control system design.
- Experience with PCR and sequencing workflows.
- Strong communication skills are required to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Ability to disseminate and summarize scientific literature to a broad interdisciplinary audience.
- This role is full-time onsite in our office in South Fremont.
The base salary range for this full-time position is $105,000 - $120,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by work location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. The ranges displayed on each job posting reflect the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries but are subject to change if the leveling of the role is adjusted.
