
Manager, Supply Chain

We are seeking a proactive and analytical Supply Chain Manager to lead and scale our end-to-end supply chain operations. This role is critical in ensuring timely procurement, accurate demand planning, efficient inventory control, warehousing, and cost-effective management of COGS in a dynamic biotech startup environment. You’ll collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, manufacturing, finance, and quality teams to support product development and commercialization.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and execute supply chain strategies aligned with company growth and regulatory requirements.
- Manage procurement processes: source suppliers, negotiate contracts, and manage vendor performance.
- Lead demand forecasting and production planning to support commercial forecast and internal material requests. Maintain proper inventory levels to support the production schedule.
- Manage periodical inventory counts and take corrective action to mitigate the count discrepancies.
- Monitor and analyze COGS. Collaborate with finance to identify cost drivers and opportunities for optimization.
- Perform periodical review of purchasing price variance, standard cost deviation and job variance, and implement control measures to reduce systemic variance.
- Establish KPIs and dashboards to track supply chain performance and drive continuous improvement.
- Plan and manage warehouse and storage capacity aligned with production and inventory requirements.
- Manage the Order Management Processes: process customer purchase order, generate sales order and fulfill sales order
Qualifications:
- BS degree in Supply Chain, Business, Life Sciences, or related field, with APICS CPIM/CSCP certification a plus
- 5 years progressive management experience in supply chain or operations, ideally in a biotech or life sciences environment
- Strong understanding of procurement, planning, inventory control, and COGS analysis
- Working knowledge and understanding of ERP/MRP systems (e.g. NetSuite)
- Detailed knowledge of materials management, regulations, procedures, and records.
- Experience in ISO 13485/GMP environment.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and project management skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment with limited structure.
The base salary range for this full-time position is $140,000.00 - $160,000.00 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by work location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. The ranges displayed on each job posting reflect the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries but are subject to change if the leveling of the role is adjusted.
