Lead Global Intelligence Analyst - Strategic

AlertMedia’s Global Intelligence Team is seeking a Lead Analyst (Supervisor) to join our Strategic Intelligence Team. In this role, you’ll lead a team of Analysts focused on delivering timely, forward-looking intelligence—spanning strategic reports, trend analysis,  assessments of upcoming events, and travel security briefs—that may impact our customers’ people and assets. You’ll provide editorial oversight of intelligence reports and other products and guide the team in distilling complex information into clear, actionable content for business and executive audiences. Success in this role requires a strong understanding of global events and their business implications, excellent communication and editorial skills, and a track record of effective team leadership. While a leadership role, this position is also hands-on—requiring a player-coach mindset and a willingness to contribute alongside your team. 

Who you are: 

You have previous leadership experience in corporate security or global risk intelligence, journalism or editorial roles, emergency management or crisis communications, or a similar area leading a team focused on providing information and context to a business, executive, or operational audience to support critical decision-making. You bring strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to shape clear, concise, and high-impact intelligence products and guide others to do the same through thoughtful editorial leadership.

  • Partner closely with leader of Strategic Intelligence Team to help oversee daily assignments, set priorities, and ensure smooth team operations.
  • Provide editorial leadership by helping to set the strategic direction of the team’s content, guiding what we cover, how we cover it, and ensuring alignment with customer needs and business priorities.
  • Contribute directly to the creation of high-quality strategic intelligence content, offering insight and guidance on key topics and reports.
  • Lead, coach, and mentor a team of Strategic Intelligence Analysts, providing direction on narrative structure and key takeaways, supporting growth, and helping shape high standards for analysis and writing.
  • Collaborate with colleagues on Tactical Intelligence and Meteorology teams to ensure consistent coverage and coordination on events that span multiple team focuses.
  • Work with internal partners to identify trends in global events and support content that demonstrates the value of our intelligence to current and future customers.  
  • Ensure all intelligence content meets internal standards for clarity, accuracy, and relevance to our business audience.  

What you bring to the role: 

  • 2+ years of experience leading a high-performing team in global risk intelligence, corporate security, intelligence analysis, crisis communications, journalism, emergency management, or a similar field where strategic thinking, editorial leadership, and the ability to deliver actionable insights are key.
  • Proven editorial leadership, with the ability to shape and refine content across a variety of formats and deadlines, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and business relevance
  • Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to quickly synthesize complex information and leverage a range of open-source intelligence tools, data sources, and systems to support high-quality reporting
  • A strong track record as a coach and mentor, offering constructive feedback, fostering growth, and helping team members deliver their best work
  • A desire and ability to thrive in a player/coach role—balancing hands-on contribution with team leadership and support
  • Strong knowledge of current events and how global developments may impact businesses, people, and operations
  • Excellent judgment and prioritization skills, with the ability to assess competing demands and guide the team through fast-paced, dynamic situations
  • A collaborative leadership style and the ability to work effectively across teams, including peers in Tactical Intelligence, Weather, and Marketing
  • Experience or familiarity with the fields of corporate security, business continuity, or emergency management is a strong plus 
  • Position is open for remotelocation except for in the followingstates:Alaska, Colorado, Louisiana, Montana, North Dakota, Oregon, Rhode Island, West Virginia, US territories
