The Mission
Lead and grow a portfolio of products that together form the foundation of Algolia’s next generation of data and ecosystem platforms:
- Data & Connector Platform : Empower every business to unlock the full potential of their product/catalog data by providing data loading, transformation, and enrichment services. Make enriched data a first-class asset for exceptional search and discovery experiences.
- Composition: Enable business users and external systems to tailor and orchestrate Algolia results using a flexible API and UI. Provide the tools to build composable, context-aware, curated experiences that blend algolia retrieval, external sources starting with retail media feeds.
- Ecosystem Experience : Ensure customers using external platforms (e.g., SFCC, Shopify, BigCommerce) can easily integrate and optimize Algolia to improve their performance, with tailored experiences that meet their specific needs.
- Alolgia assist : leverage our AI assistant to improve the user experience and make this tool accessible to every users
The Opportunity
This is a senior product leadership role at the heart of Algolia’s strategy to unify data ingest > transform/enrich > retrieval/orchestration > business-user control. You will manage three experienced PMs, set direction across their areas, and ensure their work connects into a coherent, high-value portfolio. This portfolio directly impacts customer adoption, time-to-value, and differentiation in eCommerce and beyond.
What you'll be doing:
- Lead & Manage PMs: Hire, coach, and grow PM. Set goals, run performance cycles, and help them deliver outsized impact.
- Define Portfolio Strategy: Own vision, KPIs, and roadmaps across Data, Connector, Composition. Ensure the three areas reinforce each other and connect into Algolia’s broader AI Search & Agentic platform.
- Deliver Outcomes, not Features: Drive measurable improvements in customer adoption, onboarding time, conversion performance, and search relevance.
- Ecosystem & Partnerships: Work closely with GTM, PS, and partner teams on ecosystem integrations (e.g., Criteo, Zitcha, SFCC, Shopify, BigCommerce).
- Stakeholder Alignment: Operate crisp product rituals (roadmaps, PR/FAQs, CPRs, WBRs) that keep leadership, engineering, GTM, and customers aligned.
Role Requirements:
- People Leadership: 2+ years directly managing PMs with a track record of developing talent and raising the bar.
- Portfolio Ownership: Proven success running multiple product lines in parallel with dependencies and external partnerships.
- Developer-First Experience: Skilled in developer-first APIs/platforms as well as business-user workflows (commerce, content, media). Proven experience building and shipping developer-first products, tools, or APIs.
- Data & Connectors Depth: Strong understanding of ETL/ELT pipelines, data quality, governance, and extensibility models.
- Domain Experience: Background in eCommerce, content-heavy, or media use cases. Experience with platforms, partner integrations, or merchant-facing products (or equivalent).
- Strategic Communicator: Comfortable simplifying complexity, framing trade-offs, and aligning executives and cross-functional stakeholders.
