Position Overview
Align is seeking a hands-on Procore System Administrator to own, optimize, and continuously improve the connection between our data center construction project management platform (Procore) and our cloud-based accounting system (Sage Intacct).
This role bridges operations, finance, and technology, ensuring both platforms work in sync to deliver accurate data, streamlined workflows, and actionable insights for leadership. The SME will go beyond initial integration, taking full ownership of system administration, task management, user permissions, reporting, training, and process optimization to ensure long-term adoption and operational excellence.
The ideal candidate will be an operational problem-solver with a strong grasp of construction/data center financial workflows, accounting processes, and cross-department coordination. You’ll oversee integration functionality and act as the in-house expert - leading process improvements, task oversight, training programs, and reporting initiatives that drive efficiency and informed decision-making.
- This hybrid role reports to the Program Manager and will work 3 days per week in our Plano, TX office.
- This is a full-time salaried position offering competitive compensation, comprehensive benefits, paid time off, paid training, and performance-based bonuses.
Responsibilities
Operational Integration Leadership
- Serve as the primary operational owner and SME of the Procore–Sage Intacct integration, ensuring accurate and efficient data flow between systems.
- Partner with project management, accounting, and leadership teams to align system processes with operational and financial goals.
- Oversee the full lifecycle of integration projects - from requirements gathering to launch, maintenance, and continuous improvement.
Training, Change Management & SME Support
- Train project managers, finance teams, and operations staff on Tasks tool usage, system workflows, and integration best practices.
- Serve as the go-to resource for troubleshooting, best practices, and post-integration operational guidance.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation and SOPs for task workflows, permissions, system configurations, and integration processes.
Task Management & Oversight
- Create, assign, and track project tasks in Procore using the Tasks tool to ensure accountability and visibility.
- Set due dates, categories, and statuses for tasks; integrate them into users’ “My Open Items” dashboards for better tracking.
- Monitor task progress to ensure alignment with project timelines and deliverables.
User Permissions & Access Control
- Configure and manage permission templates to ensure appropriate access levels across teams.
- Assign users to roles with Standard or Admin access to the Tasks tool.
- Customize permissions for unique project or departmental needs.
System Configuration & Maintenance
- Enable and configure the Tasks tool for new and existing projects via Project Admin settings.
- Create and manage task categories in the Company Admin tool to organize workflows.
- Ensure the Tasks tool is active in project templates for consistent deployment.
Workflow & Process Optimization
- Streamline finance and operations workflows (AP, AR, job costing, budgeting, reporting) to reduce manual entry and errors.
- Identify and implement operational best practices to enhance efficiency across departments.
- Leverage automation tools and third-party connectors to support scalable growth.
Reporting & Dashboard Management
- Build and maintain dashboards reflecting real-time task status, project health, and financial data.
- Ensure leaders have access to accurate, timely project and financial reporting from Procore and Sage Intacct.
- Partner with accounting to ensure month-end close accuracy, WIP reporting, and compliance with GAAP.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or 2+ years’ experience managing Procore and Sage Intacct integrations in an operational or project management capacity.
- Strong understanding of construction accounting concepts (job costing, WIP, commitments, retainage, etc.).
- Proven experience streamlining workflows, managing permissions, and improving cross-team collaboration.
- Proficiency with Excel, data reconciliation, and system-driven reporting.
- Strong communication skills and ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with related integrations (e.g., Avalara and ConnectWise).
- Background in accounting, finance, or operational leadership (CPA, CMA, or construction accounting certification a plus).
- Familiarity with project management best practices in the construction or data center industry.
