Position Overview 

As the Data Center Cabling Superintendent, you will lead and own the execution of large-scale cabling installations for major AI and hyperscale data centers across the U.S. You’ll oversee all aspects of low-voltage cabling, from planning and standards to field execution - and ensure everything is installed safely, correctly, and on schedule. 

You’ll manage field teams (typically 50-100 technicians and contractors), coordinate with vendors and project leadership, and travel frequently to active project sites.

• This position requires 50%-70% travel to project sites nationwide, including AI build locations. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Lead field execution of large-scale hyperscale and AI data center cabling builds. 
• Manage 50-100+ technicians, foremen, subcontractors, and Associate Superintendents. 
• Oversee installation of fiber, copper, containment pathways, and high-density AI/HPC cabling. 
• Review drawings, port maps, tray layouts, and design packages for TIA/BICSI compliance. 
• Coordinate daily with GCs, trades, commissioning teams, and vendor PMs. 
• Manage labor planning, subcontractors, and resource allocation to maintain project schedules. 
• Oversee QA/QC, testing, documentation (RFIs, change orders, reports), and material tracking. 
• Lead troubleshooting, commissioning readiness, and fiber diagnostics (OTDR, OLTS, VFL). 
• Enforce jobsite safety, toolbox talks, and field compliance. 

Required Qualifications 

• 5-10+ years in structured cabling or mission-critical data center environments. 
• Experience managing large cabling teams (50-100+ technicians). 
• Proven ability to lead full cabling deployments across hyperscale or AI data center projects. 
• Advanced knowledge of fiber infrastructure, MPO/MTP systems, InfiniBand, and leaf-spine architectures. 
• Strong ability to interpret complex cabling drawings, design packages, and project documentation. 
• Experience managing labor allocation, subcontractors, and project schedules. 
• Strong Excel and reporting skills for tracking, port mapping, and documentation. 
• Experience working in live data centers with strict MOP/SOP procedures. 

Preferred Qualifications 

• Experience delivering hyperscale or AI/HPC data center builds. 
• Strong understanding of containment systems, raceways, and pathway infrastructure. 
• Familiarity with BICSI, TIA/EIA, and relevant building codes. 
• Certifications such as RCDD or DCDC. 
• Experience working directly with hyperscale clients or owner representatives
