IT Systems Lead

About the Role
As our first IT hire, you'll be instrumental in lding and maintaining the technological foundation that enables our growth and success. We value adaptability, problem-solving, and a proactive approach to technology. Your role will be critical in supporting the growth of the company, powering our mission, and ensuring we’re able to deliver on our goals. This is a chance to be a foundational member of our team, with significant opportunities for professional growth and leadership as we scale.
Hybrid (NYC): We value in-person collaboration and aim for at least three days per week in our NYC office, with flexibility as needed.
What You'll Do
- Provide Technical Support: Be the first line of support for all IT-related issues, troubleshooting hardware, software, and network problems.
- Manage Laptops, Conference Rooms and Peripherals: Set up and maintain laptops, conference rooms, printers, and other peripherals.
- Administer Cloud-Based Services: Manage user accounts, permissions, and configurations for cloud-based applications (e.g., Google Workspace, Slack, etc.).
- Network Management: Set up and maintain network infrastructure, including Wi-Fi, routers, and firewalls.
- Security Management: Implement and maintain security best practices, including password management, antivirus software, and data backup procedures.
- Asset Management: Track and manage IT assets, including hardware and software licenses.
- Documentation: Create and maintain IT documentation, including user guides and system configurations.
- Vendor Management: Liaise with IT vendors and service providers.
- Assist with Onboarding/Offboarding: Setup and remove employee access to company systems.
- Proactively Identify and Implement Improvements: Look for ways to improve efficiency and security of our systems

- Eager to learn and grow with a startup.
- Able to explain technical issues to non-technical users.
Bonus Points
- Experience with scripting or automation tools.
