About The Role:

We are looking for an experienced Front-End Engineer to join our team, focusing on designing and developing tablet-based user interfaces for remote weapon systems. You will be responsible for building responsive, performant, and visually compelling applications using React-Native for Android-based tablets. This is a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced startup environment with cutting-edge technology and a strong focus on user experience.

What You'll Do:

  • Design and develop user-friendly, responsive interfaces using React for web applications and Android for mobile apps.
  • Collaborate closely with back-end developers to integrate APIs and ensure seamless interaction between front-end and back-end systems.
  • Optimize applications for maximum performance across a wide range of devices, including mobile phones, tablets, and desktops.
  • Work with product managers and UX/UI designers to transform wireframes and prototypes into functional, visually appealing interfaces.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in web and mobile development, implementing best practices to enhance user experience.
  • Troubleshoot and debug issues to improve performance, user experience, and reliability.
  • Contribute to code reviews and mentor junior developers to raise the overall quality of the front-end team’s work.
  • Collaborate with QA engineers to ensure the applications are thoroughly tested and meet quality standards.

What You'll Need:

  • A strong passion for building sleek, responsive, and intuitive user interfaces.
  • Experience designing and developing front-end applications using React/React-Native.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience working on front-end development, with a strong portfolio of web and mobile applications.
  • Proficient in JavaScript, TypeScript, and have experience with state management tools like Zustand, Redux or MobX.
  • Familarity with React Native or other cross-platform frameworks for mobile development.
  • Experience with Android Studio.
  • Experience with RESTful APIs, Websockets, and integrating back-end services into front-end applications.
  • Understand the importance of responsive design and are comfortable with CSS3, HTML5, and Material UI.
  • Experienced in using Git, CI/CD pipelines, and understand the value of writing clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.
  • You are excited about solving complex problems in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

You'll Stand Out:

  • Experience with React Native for cross-platform mobile development.
  • Familiarity with Android Jetpack components.
  • Knowledge of Progressive Web Apps (PWA).
  • Understanding of WebSockets and real-time data handling.
  • Exposure to Docker, Kubernetes, or cloud services like AWS or GCP.
  • Experience with adding game controller support to React Native/Android applications
