POSITION OVERVIEW:
This position seeks an Innovative Solutions Opportunity (ISO) Coordinator to lead efforts in identifying, evaluating, and managing opportunities for groundbreaking projects aligned with the agency’s mission. The ISO Coordinator will act as a central hub for creative ideas, managing the pipeline for innovative research initiatives, partnerships, and funding opportunities that drive measurable and scalable impact on human health outcomes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Opportunity Assessment and Prioritization: Facilitate the identification and evaluation of promising ideas via solution summaries and proposals for high-impact projects.
- Coordination and Management: Maintain an active pipeline of potential projects and initiatives, ensuring opportunities are strategically reviewed, prioritized, and advanced. Track project progress and ensure alignment with the mission, funding priorities, and timelines.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as a liaison, connecting internal teams with external stakeholders to foster collaboration for innovative solutions.
- Process Development and Optimization: Establish and refine processes for soliciting, reviewing, and managing incoming solution summaries and opportunities. Implement systems to ensure seamless coordination between internal teams evaluating research opportunities and external collaborators.
- Proposal Analysis: Conduct preliminary analysis of proposals and opportunities to ensure alignment with the priorities and funding strategy. Coordinate with subject matter experts for deeper technical reviews and feedback.
- Outcomes Reporting and Insights: Track and report metrics related to project outcomes and long-term impact. Provide data-driven insights to leadership for strategic decision-making.
PRIOR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Excellent organizational and communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to handle a wide variety of tasks, including briefing support and general administration.
- Understanding and creating project schedules and timelines.
- Strong professional writing skills with an ability to prepare effective documentation including presentation slides.
- Must have initiative, be detail-oriented, and adept at multitasking in a high-pressure environment.
- Demonstrated ability to respond quickly and manage changing priorities effectively.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and support diverse teams.
BASELINE QUALIFICATIONS
- Associate's Degree in a business, management, journalism, technical or related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in project coordination, innovation management, or similar roles in healthcare, research, or technology-focused organizations.
- Familiarity with research funding processes in government agencies or other grant-based organizations.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate projects based on feasibility, potential impact, and funding requirements.
- Exceptional communication skills to interface effectively across multidisciplinary teams and external partners.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Advanced degree (Master’s or higher) in a relevant field or experience within a healthcare innovation environment.
- Knowledge of federal funding mechanisms, including other transaction proposals and contracts.
- Experience with large-scale proposal/project pipeline management or innovation acceleration.
- Previous experience coordinating proposals or initiatives for government agencies, non-profits, or scientific research organizations.
