Team Overview
In this role, you will report to the Communications Integrity Director and be responsible for managing the review process for all ADF external communications. This process involves personally reviewing all external communications and corresponding with ADF attorneys to ensure that all assertions are accurate and that the tone of our communications is consistent with our identity as followers of Christ. External communications include, but are not limited to, fundraising letters, ministry friend education letters, Faith Justice magazine articles, newsletters, brochures, marketing pieces, video scripts, telemarketing scripts, website copy, blogs, op-eds, and some presentation materials. Additionally, you will regularly create and contribute original written content, such as news releases and opinion pieces, for external audiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Review ADF communications to external audiences.
- Work with attorneys to ensure that external communications are legally and factually accurate.
- Assess the tone, persuasiveness, and readability of those external communications.
- Assist the communication teams in understanding the legal process.
- Facilitate the review process by transferring drafts of external communications between the communication teams and the legal team.
- Facilitate communication between the legal and communication teams in order to encourage cross-team collaboration for all ADF communications.
- Improve the writing in ADF communications to external audiences.
- Create and contribute written content, such as news releases and opinion commentary, for external audiences.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- 2+ years of experience as a writer and editor.
