Team Overview
As the Recruitment Operations Manager, you are a vital part of the Strategic Relations & Training Team. In this role, you will report to the Vice President of Legal Professional Affairs and manage logistical details related to recruitment and internships for the Blackstone Legal Fellowship.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee end-to-end execution of Blackstone recruitment events, coordinating approximately 194 in-person, virtual, and hybrid events within a concentrated two-month recruitment cycle across law schools and undergraduate campuses nationwide.
- Direct all recruitment event logistics, including venue selection, contract negotiation, catering, vendor management, institutional compliance, and real-time issue resolution to ensure consistent quality and brand representation.
- Manage and approve all recruitment-related contracts and expenditures, ensuring fiscal discipline within the approved budget, accurate financial tracking, and timely payments and reconciliations.
- Serve as the operational lead for the Blackstone Legal Fellowship Phase II Internship Housing Program, overseeing housing logistics for ADF-funded interns from budget development through program close-out.
- Review, negotiate, and approve housing contracts, including leases and short-term rentals, ensuring legal compliance, cost-effectiveness, and alignment with organizational policies and intern needs.
- Supervise and develop the Recruitment Operations Specialist, providing clear direction, prioritization, and quality control during high-volume recruitment and placement periods.
- Maintain operational excellence under compressed timelines by balancing simultaneous event execution, housing logistics, and staff management while upholding Blackstone’s standards of professionalism, stewardship, and hospitality.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 3+ years of relevant work experience.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interface with all levels internally and externally in the broader legal community.
