We are Aspire Living & Learning, a non-profit human services agency making a meaningful difference in the lives of adults and children with autism and other disabilities.
Aspire Living & Learning is currently seeking a motivated and dedicated Program Manager for one of our Baltimore County Residential locations in the Essex area. The Program Manager (PM) is responsible for the overall operation of one or more programs to effectively work with individuals supported and engaged high performing teams.
Salary: from $45,000 - $48,000 per year
Roles/Responsibilities:
The PM is responsible for programmatic and operational management of services that will enable individuals to reach their fullest potential. This person holds a leadership role, building effective teams development supervision and championing internal and external partnerships. Below outlines key aspects of the roles and responsibilities this position holds:
Program Management:
- Champions an environment in which supported individuals have choices, are treated with respect and dignity and actively engaged in their community
- Provides ongoing developmental supervision ensuring employees are meeting programmatic requirements
- Creates a supportive environment in which to retain quality employees and providers
- Ensures adherence to organization-wide policies and procedures and state and federal regulations, meeting licensing and certification standards
- Provides fiscal oversight of the program(s) under the guidance and leadership of the Program Director
- Coordinates services to provide medical, psychiatric and social-emotional needs of the supported individuals
- Provides programmatic oversight regarding required record keeping and program and vehicle safety
Leadership and Coordination:
- Fosters an environment where the dignity, decisions and rights of the individuals are valued and supported
- Coordinates with, and provides support to, Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Enhancement (QE) and subsequent identified goals
- Foster a positive work environment while supporting a culture of teamwork, growth, collaboration and communication
Administrative Responsibilities:
- Oversee administrative tasks to ensure compliance including, but not limited to, completion of employee performance appraisals, maintaining schedules for effective programming, etc.
- Ensure that all employees have received the necessary regulatory training and guidance to best support the individuals served
Relationships & Communication:
- Creates positive relationships with all internal and external stakeholders including employees, peers, local and state agencies as well as parents and guardians
- Ensures all communication is timely and occurs in a manner that is professional, clear and concise
- Builds trust, mutual respect and cohesion around shared mission
Education, experience and other requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experience
- Valid driver’s license and safe driving record
- 18 years of age or older
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of funding agency regulations/requirements
- Ability to provide on-call support
- Strong administrative and organizational ability
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
- Computer skills necessary
- Must have a valid driver’s license and have satisfactory background checks
- Maybe required to be a signer on financial accounts
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to handle physical aspects of job, including bending, stooping, lifting, pushing, pulling, reaching, and walking for periods of time
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times
