Nurse Trainer

We are Aspire Living & Learning, a non-profit human services agency making a meaningful difference in the lives of adults and children with autism and other disabilities.
Aspire Living & Learning is currently seeking a part-time Nurse Trainer to join our team and work collaboratively to oversee the quality of healthcare for individuals served by the agency. This involves understanding the particular needs of each individual on their assigned caseload; ensuring staff and home care providers are attending to all identified medical needs/scheduled medical appointments; complying with He-M 1201 state regulations and agency policies and procedures; training and educating all staff and providers on essential health-related matters, healthcare coordination and medication administration; providing on-going consultation and support to individuals and their care team; serving as a liaison between individuals’ healthcare practitioners and the care team as needed. The position also requires maintaining active RN licensure status through continuing education. We are looking for someone with the ability and motivation to work from home as well as from the office as needed with flexible daytime hours. On occasion, there will be a need to travel to client homes within your caseload.
Salary: $38 per hour
Hours: Part time, 20 hours/week, as needed. Typically take place between 9a-5p
Location: Nashua, NH and Wilton, NH
Our Ideal Candidate
- Must have active and unencumbered Registered Nursing License.
- Must be able to qualify to be a Nurse Trainer for the state of NH.
- Applicant must have worked as a Licensed Nurse two of the past five years; one of which as a Licensed Registered Nurse.
- Must be willing and able to utilize electronic medical records for all documentation.
- Empathy, enthusiasm, and a passion and dedication for helping others.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills.
Our ideal candidate:
- Prior experience working with individuals with disabilities in a professional setting strongly preferred.
- Basic computer skills, experience using Therap a plus!
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Empathy, enthusiasm, and a passion and dedication for helping others.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Valid US driver’s license and auto insurance required, with at least 3 years of driving experience. Access to reliable transportation is required, and some positions may require the use of a personal vehicle to transport supported individuals, depending on program needs.
