Aspire Living & Learning is currently seeking a creative and dedicated Art Teacher to provide specialized art instruction tailored to the unique needs of students with autism, developmental disabilities, and other disabilities. The Art Teacher will develop and implement curriculum, provide individualized and small-group instruction, assess student progress, maintain a positive learning environment, and collaborate with the educational team.
Schedule: Monday, 7:00 AM–3:00 PM; Tuesday, 7:00 AM–3:00 PM; Wednesday, 8:00 AM–3:00 PM
This position will work one day per week at each location
Locations: Trumbull, CT; Naugatuck, CT; Stamford, CT
Qualifications:
- Minimum of Bachelor’s degree
- CT. Certification #042 Art PK-12 preferred
- Knowledge of art standards and curriculum
- Must have satisfactory background checks
- Valid driver’s license and safe driving record
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement art curriculum aligned with the school’s mission and students’ individual needs.
- Provide individualized and small-group art instruction using a variety of artistic mediums and teaching strategies.
- Assess student learning and progress and adapt instruction, accommodations, and interventions as needed.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
- Select, order, and maintain art supplies and equipment to support instruction.
- Collaborate with the educational team and participate in required training and professional development.

Pay: $30-38 per hour
