Position Summary:

As a Lab Operations Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth functioning of laboratory and facility operations within a scientific setting. Your responsibilities will encompass various technical tasks to maintain equipment, facilitate experiments, and support research initiatives. This role demands a meticulous approach, strong organizational skills, and a deep understanding of laboratory, facility operations, and safety protocols.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct routine inspections, maintenance, and calibration of laboratory equipment such as Biosafety cabinets, incubators, and analytical instruments.
  • Coordinate and schedule PM, repairs, or replacement services as necessary.
  • Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance activities and calibration schedules.
  • Oversee inventory levels of laboratory supplies, chemicals, and reagents.
  • Collaborate with team members to facilitate efficient workflow and achieve research objectives.
  • Ensure adherence to laboratory safety guidelines and protocols for a secure working environment.
  • Conduct safety inspections and risk assessments and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Manage shipping and receiving from external vendors for domestic and international shipments of lab materials, including preparing material for shipment.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or two years experience in Lab operation
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently.
