Senior HR Generalist
As an AWL Senior HR Generalist, you will be part of the Human Resources team focused on supporting our team – both in the trenches and in the back end. You will be responsible for supporting the daily functions of the Human Resource function, including onboarding, personnel changes, benefits, leave administration, and multi-state compliance. Our Human Resource team is the gear that keeps the AWL machine on track. Our team strives to catch glitches before they become problems, and we delight in being more proactive than reactive.

Your day-to-day
- Serve as the primary Human Resources contact for employee questions.
- Full administration of HCM and HRIS systems.
- Support role specific comprehensive onboarding processes to facilitate a positive new hire experience.
- Research and presentation of process and technology improvement opportunities.
- Address employment-related inquiries and escalate to manager for complex matters as needed.
- Foster a positive workplace culture through communication and an open-door policy.
- Stay up to date on federal and US employment laws and regulations and recommend employment policy modification to ensure business needs are met and the Company is in compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Partner with leadership on various HR projects and initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of HR strategies.
- Administer HR programs related to employee engagement, benefits, leave, employee relations, and performance management.
- Work closely with payroll on various transactions, including salary updates, corrections, benefits, garnishments, and deductions.

- Must have the ability to make recommendations to effectively resolve problems or issues, by using judgment that is consistent with standard practices, policies, procedures, or government law.
- Advanced Computer Skills: Leverage your expertise in Microsoft Suite, Process Street, Paycom - and hopefully knowledge of automation tools (Power Automate, Zapier, etc.) to analyze data, create reports, and streamline HR processes.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with employees at all levels of the organization.
- To have outstanding communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills and be comfortable communicating over several platforms clearly and concisely.
- Technology proficiency – pick up on new technology or platforms quickly, leverage technology to elevate processes and efficiency.
- Enthusiasm to work to improve processes and experiences for the AWL team and our candidates.
- Willingness to pitch in and help with other projects and share responsibilities as needs arise.
- The ability to work 40 hours per week and be in Austin at least once per quarter.
