Senior Accountant

Summary
This is a compelling opportunity for a highly motivated individual to join an expanding business with an exciting vision and strategy. A successful candidate will use their excellent analytical skills and thorough knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) to play a key role in the monthly close process and maintaining financial records of the firm.
This is a full-time role in our Folsom, CA office.
The base salary range for this role is between 70,000 and 95,000 annually.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for month end close in accordance with GAAP, including account reconciliations and journal entries
- Serve as a back-up for month-end duties assigned to other team members
- Provide support to accounts payable team as needed, ensuring the accurate coding, timely processing of accounts payable, credit card charges and employee expense reports
- Provide support to accounts receivable team as needed, ensuring accurate and timely billing and cash application
- Ensure adherence to all applicable GAAP pronouncements
- Provide support for annual audits by preparing supporting schedules and assisting with audit requests
- Assist in the development, rollout and continuous improvement of procedures, processes, and internal control documentation
- Assist with the accounting aspect of integrating newly acquired firms
- Assist with ad hoc projects as requested
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or finance
- CPA or pursuing a CPA certification - preferred
- Minimum of three years accounting and/or audit experience
- Experience working in an accounting system
- Strong organizational skills; able to manage priorities and workflow
- Good judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisions
- Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
