SUMMARY:
We are seeking a self-motivated team player who is interested in helping us continue our rapid growth as well as servicing our existing clients. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting participant education meetings, some business development and other client service functions as determined by the Director of Retirement Plan Services. Founded in Sacramento, California, in 1993, Allworth is primarily a fee-based, employee-centric fiduciary advisory firm, that prides itself on emphasizing client well-being and education. This is an exempt full-time position. This position has a base salary that ranges between $90k and $115k, depending on the candidates expierence. Additionally, this position is also eligible for incentive compensation.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for managing a book of retirement plan business.
- Conduct annual investment reviews with plan committees and plan sponsors.
- Conduct both in-person and remote group/individual participant education meetings.
- Assist in preparing various client reports when necessary.
- Participate in new business finalist presentation
- Remain up to date with current trends in the retirement plans industry.
- Develop relationships with 401k Record Keepers and TPA’s.
- Possess a working knowledge of ERISA regulations and Fiduciary responsibilities.
- Provide fiduciary advice to Plan Sponsors and Plan Administrators
- Must be proactive in taking ownership of tasks that need completion.
- Manage vender searches and prepare proposals.
- Must be a positive team player.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience focused on corporate retirement plans
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, economics, finance, or equivalent work experience.
- Series 6 and 65 are required or must be obtained within the first 90 days of employment.
- Excellent presentation and writing skills.
- Must have or be willing to obtain the AIF or other relevant industry certifications.
- Strong knowledge of ERISA and fiduciary standards.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Highly self-motivated and proactive.
- Ability to meet travel requirements of the position (travel to client locations approximately 50% of the time. Some overnight travel required.
- Keep current with industry and regulatory changes.
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office programs and other internal systems.
- Strong client first focus.
- Experience with Salesforce a plus.
