SUMMARY:

The Operational Reporting Manager strengthens Allworth's operational reporting and insight capability, partnering with senior leaders to turn data into clearer, more actionable views of the business. This role focuses heavily on operational reporting, including areas such as marketing funnel performance and new business pipeline, building the reporting and analysis that helps leaders understand what's happening and why.

The role also supports business partnering across a range of operational areas, working with senior stakeholders to identify reporting gaps, prioritize new development, and deliver ongoing insight. This includes periodic exposure to leadership- and ELT-level discussions on operational results. The role is expected to grow into a people-manager position as the team's reporting and partnering scope expands.

This is a full-time Exempt location. Ideal candidate will be able to work hybrid work schedule in our Addison office.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Reporting

  • Build and continuously improve operational reporting that gives leadership a clear, accurate view of the business — with particular focus on funnel performance and new business pipeline.
  • Identify trends, anomalies, and drivers within operational data, and package findings into insight leadership can act on, not just raw metrics.
  • Maintain a strong working knowledge of the underlying business processes behind the numbers to ensure reporting reflects how the business actually operates.

Business Partnering

  • Partner with senior leaders across a range of operational areas — potentially including marketing, sales, practice management, and financial services — to understand their reporting and insight needs.
  • Translate open business questions into reporting requirements and prioritize development accordingly.
  • Represent the analytics function in ongoing conversations with business stakeholders, with the specific mix of relationships expected to evolve over time.

Leadership Reporting & Collaboration

  • Prepare and deliver leadership-facing reporting, including periodic involvement in ELT-level discussions on operational results.
  • Help identify data issues or open questions that need to be addressed before results are shared with senior leadership.

Platform Utilization

  • Work as a power user of the existing star-schema data model, ThoughtSpot, and the Analytics Hub to self-serve reporting and analysis.
  • Route requests that require new liveboards, data model changes, or platform development to the appropriate A&I engineering owner rather than building independently.

Team Leadership (Future State)

  • Initially an individual contributor role; expected to build and lead a small team as reporting and business-partnering scope grows.
  • Partner with the VP, Analytics & Insights on the timing and shape of that team as scope is proven out.

Qualifications

Required

  • 7+ years of experience in data, analytics, or reporting roles, including direct business partnering with senior stakeholders.
  • Experience working within financial services, wealth management, or a related finance function.
  • Strong track record of translating business questions into reporting requirements and clear, decision-ready insight.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience presenting analysis to senior leadership.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple stakeholder relationships across different business functions concurrently.

Preferred

  • Experience with Tableau, ThoughtSpot, and/or Power BI.
  • Experience with marketing funnel or sales pipeline reporting specifically.
  • Prior experience building or leading a small analytics or reporting team, or clear readiness to grow into that responsibility.
