
Assistant Product Developer
ALOHA Collection is a fast growing lifestyle brand that was born out of a love of travel, adventure and the ocean. This California based brand with Hawaiian roots located in Encinitas, CA focuses on travel accessories. Travel is our inspiration, the beach is our home.
ROLE OVERVIEW
The Assistant Product Developer will be responsible for supporting Partnerships, Customs and In-Line across all product categories by coordinating all samples and supporting the product team throughout the product development lifecycle.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Manage end-to-end sample development, including spec spreadsheets, vendor orders, production tracking, shipment, and receipt confirmation
- Provide clear status updates and ensure sample accuracy (pantones, trims, packaging, stickering, manufacturing requirements)
- Coordinate sample reviews, feedback, corrections, and formal handoff to Sales with documented details and timelines
- Organize samples, trim libraries, line sheets, seasonal displays, reject samples, and sample mailings to partners and factories
- Support Product Development with tech packs, NetSuite style creation, production details, and seasonal updates
- Assist with competitive analysis, market research, and quarterly defect reporting in collaboration with PLM and factories
- Coordinate mockups and artwork between Custom Sales and Design teams
- Support Licensing submissions, sample photography, Print on Demand, and corporate gifting programs
- Serve as point of contact for wholesale custom partners regarding development updates
- Support vendor onboarding and maintenance
- Provide general operational support to Product Development and Licensing teams as needed
EXPERIENCE WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- Experience in Product Development, Fashion, Business, or a related field is a plus.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects with competing deadlines.
- Demonstrates a positive attitude and the ability to embrace change.
