3D (CLO) Technical Design Manager

 Overview

 We are seeking a CLO 3D Technical Design Manager with extensive experience in CLO, browzwear, Adobe Substance 3D, TUKA3D, and/or similar 3D development software. The ideal candidate will have the leadership skills to manage 3D style assembly for fittings, training and designer collaboration. This role will lead all CLO duties within the technical design department

The innovative and talented candidate will have a natural interest in fashion design construction, fitting, digital tailoring, and garment assembly. We are seeking a highly organized steady leader that can be responsible for many digital transactions and contribute incredible concepts at an elevated level. In addition, they’ll manage and train CLO Associate Technical Designers and co-build the CLO foundation for the future of alo.

Responsibilities

• Reports to the Senior Director of Technical Design
• Shares the comprehension of 3D Trim Performance and Assists with Senior CLO Designers and Tech Designers
• Assembles Articles using the Technical Design Block Direction from the Senior Director
• Navigates CLO and the CLO-SET environment
• Partner with the Director of 3D Implementation to drive implementation plans
• Support the Technical Design Team in developing new digital workflows
• Conduct training sessions and onboarding for new team members
• Assist in digital testing and evaluations for new tools, providing feedback and recommendations
• Identify workflow pain points and find solutions through software partners and digital tools
• Provides and defines best practices and standards for all 3D assets from Technical Design, including fabric scanning, trim and garment performance
• Helps with CLO Garment Assembly Discussion for Garment Construction Economics
• Attends CLO Weekly Touch Base Meetings
• PLM Data Pulls Regarding Spec, Style History, and Data Time Stamping
• Organizes Queue of Styles for Comments Needing to Go Out to Vendors & Design Partners
• Assists CLO Senior Technical Designers
• Recaps CLO Fit Notes with Designers
• Build a curriculum to train CLO technical designers
• Produces 3D asset
• Circulate data for fit approvals

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in a large-scale fashion retail in a Digital Product Creation environment.
• A degree in Fashion or experience in a related field
• Can juggle many 3D garment styles varying from multiple seasons
• Physical sewing and garment pattern experience is a plus
• Experience in multiple product types, categories, and divisions
• Has a Comprehensive Knowledge of 3D Assets and 3D Construction and Fit Development
• Can assist the team on many levels for 3D team building
• Highly organized
• Efficient use of PLM (Product Lifecycle Management)
• Experience in leading change management and collaborations scaling 3D cross functionally
• Deep interest in fashion design, construction and digital tailoring

The base salary range for this position is $150,000 - $160,000 per year which represents the current range for the base salary for this exempt position. Please note that actual salaries will vary based on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. As such, on occasion and when applicable, there is the possibility that the final, agreed-upon base salary may be outside of the upper end of the range. Please also note the range listed is just one component of the company’s total rewards package for exempt employees. Other rewards may include performance bonuses, long term incentives, a PTO policy, and many other progressive benefits.
