OVERVIEW
Alo is seeking a detail-oriented, proactive, and experienced Litigation & Employment paralegal to join our in-house legal team. The ideal candidate will provide critical support in managing litigation cases, handling employment-related legal matters, and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
This is a hybrid in-office/remote role based in the Los Angeles area. The position will require work out of the company’s Beverly Hills or Commerce office locations a minimum of three days per week.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist attorneys with case management, including discovery, document production, and trial/arbitration preparation
- Review, proof, cite-check, organize and maintain case documents for litigation practices within the legal department
- File pleadings and other case documents in federal and state court and with various administrative agencies (e.g., Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, California Civil Rights Department, or other state equivalent)
- Maintain the team’s case calendar including calculating and tracking deadlines, court orders, district court judges’ local rules, and creating outlook calendar alerts for the attorney team
- Prepare and/or draft letters, pleadings, discovery requests and responses, TOAs and TOCs for memoranda and briefs, and other litigation documents
- Assist in the preparation and review of employment-related policies, notices, and agreements
- Manage responses to employment-related document requests and subpoenas
- Handle administrative tasks, such as calendaring, expense tracking, travel arrangements, and related item
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelors degree from top-tier university.
- 6+ years of paralegal experience in-house at a large company and/or experience at a law firm
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office (Outlook, Word and Excel)
- Possess a positive attitude, be proactive, be flexible, and be a team player
- Must be detail oriented, able to prioritize needs based on urgency, multi-task, and work in a fast-paced team-orientated environment
- Ability to work flexible hours or overtime, when needed

The base pay range for this position is $55-65/hour, which represents the current range for the non-exempt position. Please note that actual compensation will vary based on factors including but not limited to location, experience and performance. Please also note the range listed is just one component of the company’s total rewards package for non-exempt employees. Other rewards may include performance bonuses, a PTO policy, and many other progressive benefits.
