OVERVIEW

Are you passionate about digital commerce and curious about how product presentation influences online shopping behavior? As a Digital Merchandising Intern, you will play a key role in optimizing product placement, curating assortments, and driving online sales. Your keen eye for detail and analytical mindset will directly impact how customers engage with our brand, supporting the growth of our e-commerce business. This internship offers hands-on experience in digital merchandising, from product sorting algorithms to content management. You will work alongside cross-functional teams, gaining valuable insights into digital strategy and helping to the overall success of our online business.

The Alo internship programs starts June 9th and ends August 1st. Interns will be working 40 hours a week at our Beverly Hills HQ. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Product Launch Coordination: Manage product launches and site updates, ensuring timely and accurate execution to improve the customer journey and maximize sales conversion.
  • Daily Product Sorting: Support the site merchandising team in optimizing product sorting algorithms, increasing product discoverability and aligning with marketing initiatives.
  • Collection Curation: Assist in the curation of collections and product assortments, helping create a compelling presentation to drive customer engagement and sales.
  • Content Management: Support the merchandising team with product categorization and content updates, maintaining consistency and accuracy across digital touchpoints.
  • Data Analysis and Insights: Monitor site performance metrics, analyze customer behavior, and identify trends and opportunities for optimization to enhance site navigation and product discoverability.
  • Merchandising Strategy Execution: Implement merchandising strategies to improve customer experience and drive online sales, working closely with the Director of Site Merchandising.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with digital marketing, creative, and product teams to align merchandising strategies with promotional campaigns and brand objectives.
  • Innovation and Trends: Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in digital merchandising, contributing fresh ideas to enhance customer experience and engagement.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Business, E-commerce or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel with the ability to analyze data trends and create impactful presentations.
  • Proactive & driven, strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and a strategic mindset for digital merchandising.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with e-commerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, Magento), analytical tools (Google Analytics, Tableau, Heap, etc) or content management systems is a plus.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data trends and contribute to strategic merchandising decisions.
  • Passion for e-commerce, digital marketing, and the fashion industry.
  • Creative problem-solving skills and the ability to contribute innovative ideas to improve customer experience.

The compensation for this position is $25 per hour.
