Overview

The Senior Store Design Manager to lead the design team in design and execution of domestic and global pipeline. Projects will range from large scale Flagship locations to smaller footprint shop in shop locations. The candidate shall be responsible for managing their own designs and design schedule as well as that of the team. The candidate should be experienced, dynamic and motivated.

Requirements

  • Oversee/manage the store design team, including work flow, scheduling, design deliverables, etc.
  • Introduce efficiencies and manage design standards to streamline work flow.
  • Manage a comprehensive design schedule for all projects in schematic design.
  • Manage team deliverables, ensuring all design criteria has been met and approvals have been obtained.
  • Ensure all projects meet ALO Global brand standards, guidelines and directives.
  • Execute store designs for 3-5 projects (at any given time) in various stages of schematic/design development.
  • Coordinate with and oversee coordination with LL/Internal Teams to obtain LODs, design criteria, surveys, etc.
  • Assist the team in ensuring the timely execution of assigned projects.
  • Attend meetings and communications required to move projects forward.
  • Assist with real estate queries and pre-lease/lease test fits.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor or Masters's Degree in Architecture, Interior Architecture, Design or related field.
  • 5-10 min. years of Design and Design Management experience, ideally in the retail field
  • Proficiency in Autocad, Sketchup, Enscape and Adobe Creative Suite (photoshop, indesign)
  • Proficiency in scheduling software (Microsoft Project, or sim)
  • Strong communication (both verbal and written)
  • Strong relationship management skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong production, technical and research skills
  • Ability to prioritize in order to meet deadlines
  • Knowledge of construction
  • Passionate, self-starting, intelligent, dedicated, efficient
  • Enjoys both taking responsibility and team collaboration
  • Passion for both the big picture design ideas and the details
  • Knowledgeable of retail and relevant and building codes
  • Experience designing/building store shop in shops is a plus

The base salary range for this position is $130,000-$150,000 per year which represents the current range for the base salary for this exempt position. Please note that actual salaries will vary based on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. As such, on occasion and when applicable, there is the possibility that the final, agreed-upon base salary may be outside of the upper end of the range. Please also note the range listed is just one component of the company’s total rewards package for exempt employees. Other rewards may include performance bonuses, long term incentives, a PTO policy, and many other progressive benefits.
