We are looking for a high-performing Account Executive with a proven track record of selling technology or financial services solutions to broker-dealers, registered investment advisers (RIAs), and other financial institutions.  You will be on the front lines of growing Alpaca's market share by managing the full sales cycle, from prospecting and qualification to solution design, proposal development, negotiation, and closing new business.

You will help fintechs, broker-dealers, RIAs, wealth management firms, and banks launch and scale brokerage products using Alpaca's institutional Broker API and brokerage infrastructure.  You'll partner with fintech platforms, broker-dealers, registered investment advisers (RIAs), wealth management firms, banks, and other financial institutions to help them launch and scale brokerage products, with a primary focus on clients across the United States.

Success in this role requires a consultative sales approach, strong business acumen, excellent time management, and the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities while navigating complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles. You are a collaborative team player who is self-motivated, driven to win, and committed to delivering exceptional results.

Our team is 100% distributed and remote, with a preference for candidates located in New York, Chicago, or Austin.

Things You'll Do:

  • Own the full sales cycle from outbound prospecting through contract negotiation and close
  • Build and manage a healthy pipeline through outbound outreach, referrals, conferences, strategic partnerships, networking, and inbound opportunities
  • Drive new revenue growth for Alpaca's institutional Broker API business across the United States
  • Develop relationships with key decision makers at fintechs, broker-dealers, RIAs, wealth managers, banks, and other financial institutions
  • Understand each prospect's business objectives and technical requirements to position Alpaca's solutions effectively
  • Deliver compelling product demonstrations, business presentations, and commercial proposals
  • Collaborate closely with Solutions Engineering, Product, Integrations, Marketing, Customer Success, and Legal to move opportunities efficiently through the sales process
  • Maintain accurate pipeline data, forecasts, and account activity within Salesforce (or CRM)
  • Continuously refine sales messaging based on market feedback, customer insights, and competitive intelligence
  • Represent Alpaca at industry conferences, customer meetings, and networking events

Who You Are (Must-Haves):

  • 3+ years of experience selling technology or financial services solutions to broker-dealers, registered investment advisers (RIAs), wealth management firms, or other financial institutions. Experience within a clearing broker-dealer or brokerage infrastructure provider is strongly preferred
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth
  • Demonstrated experience selling to and building trusted relationships with broker-dealers, RIAs, and other financial institutions
  • Experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder enterprise sales cycles involving business, operations, compliance, legal, and technical stakeholders
  • Strong consultative selling, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organized with strong pipeline management and forecasting discipline
  • Comfortable working independently in a globally distributed remote environment
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a bias toward action and accountability
  • Must have Series 7

Who you Might Be (Nice-to-Haves):

  • Experience selling APIs, developer platforms, or financial infrastructure products
  • Familiarity with brokerage, securities trading, wealth management, or capital markets
  • Experience working with startups or high-growth technology companies
  • Existing network within the US fintech ecosystem
  • Proficiency with HubSpot, Salesforce, or a comparable CRM platform
  • Series 24/63/65 licenses
