We are looking for dedicated consultants to strengthen our German team and support us in building up the German location. We are currently looking for team members specifically for our German location (work from anywhere in Germany - or in our office in Frankfurt am Main):

Key Responsibilities:

Based in Germany (with potential travel within Europe), you will participate in consulting engagements and play a crucial role in projects for our prestigious clients, leaders in asset management (Asset Managers, Private Banks, Investor Services Providers) in areas including:

  • Defining client strategy, value proposition, and roadmap by sharing industry trends and best practices, assessing maturity, and identifying key topics
  • Reviewing and designing the Target Operating Model
  • Assessing target solutions: driving the RFP process and supporting functional and non-functional assessments with vendors to select the best solutions
  • Supporting implementation (project/programme management, design, requirements engineering, training, migration, change management, etc.)
  • Executing national and international consulting projects around asset and wealth management
  • Delivering high-quality work products within expected timeframes
  • Keeping key stakeholders informed about project progress and deliverables
  • Developing industry-recognized expertise and contributing to Alpha’s growth as a leader in asset management consulting
  • Proactively contributing to the development of the German location
  • Managing or being involved in one or more internal business areas

Investment Practice Responsibilities:

As part of the highly qualified Investment Practice team, you will focus on transformation projects related to the Investment Management Value Chain, including Front Office, Middle Office, Performance, and Risk processes. Key responsibilities include:

  • Working on a variety of projects linked to Investment Value Chain transformation
  • Supporting the growth of the Investment Practice by organizing client events such as peer groups or conferences
  • Producing thought leadership content (e.g., AI, impact investments, evolving operating models) or benchmarks of vendor solutions, data providers, and investment products.
  • Creating marketing packs to support our growth and client network development
  • Sharing expertise within the practice by organizing knowledge-sharing sessions and learning tracks

Role Requirements (Skills, Experience and Qualifications):

  • 5 to 10 years of experience in consulting or projects, gained within a leading financial institution or consulting firm
  • Experience in projects engaged on Target Operating Model review and definition, business processes and/or IT solutions in some of the following areas: Portfolio management, Trading, Risk and Performance management, Middle-Office (trade support and positions keeping, collateral and OTC derivatives administration, corporate actions)
  • Strong knowledge of the financial instruments (vanilla, OTC, alternatives) and key Investments workflows
  • Demonstrating a strong curiosity and self-learning abilities to become an expert on market trends, drivers and outlook of the Asset and Wealth Management market
  • Bonus if the candidate has worked with some market leading solution providers to the like of (Bloomberg AIM, Blackrock Aladdin, Amundi Alto, Charles River IMS, Simcorp Dimension, & many others …), covering both technological and business services offering
  • First-class communication, presentation and problem-solving skills with an excellent command of Microsoft Office
  • Proven track record in client relationship development. This should include examples of client account support/management and preferably geared towards supporting business development/sales initiatives
  • Stakeholder management and influencing skills – with both clients, colleagues and junior team members
  • Focus on team achievement, not just individual goals
  • Strong academic background
  • Fluency in English and German is required, other languages are a plus
  • Willingness to travel within Germany as well as internationally
  • Bonus: Continuing education in the form of relevant certifications (e.g. PMP, CAPM, CAIA, CFA, Prince2, Lean Six Sigma)
