Our Strategy and Deals division operates across all Alpha clients (asset managers, wealth managers and insurers), supporting them to grow their businesses. As an Associate, you’ll work on a range of projects to build up your skills including establishing and assessing profitability, supporting entry into new markets, and providing due diligence and other similar services to clients looking to grow via acquisition. Our Associates will work across a range of these engagements and are encouraged to develop their skillset and rapidly develop your professional career with excellent experience.

 

Role Responsibilities 

  • Delivery: Commits to timelines for work delivery. Effectively prioritises tasks and manages time to meet project deadlines, demonstrating efficiency in delivery. Produces high-quality, near client-ready materials, that follow a logical flow in written and visual communication
  • Management: Makes straightforward decisions about their and junior members' tasks/output.
  • Analysis: Completes modelling of business operations or functions, with some supervision. Applies analytical skills to interpret data, identify patterns, and draw meaningful conclusions to support recommendations
  • Proposition Development: Supports reactive research under direction, to be used as part of business development/sales process by seniors within the team. Offers fresh perspectives beyond the direction given
  • Client-Engagement: Participates and contributes to pitches. Understands and can articulate the Alpha proposition to key stakeholders
  • Leadership and Mentorship: Proactively provides timely, clear, actionable, and helpful feedback to peers and seniors to support their development, while recognising the value of differences in style.

 

Role Requirements

  • An enthusiasm to work in a start-up style culture and be a key part of a developing and growing team
  • 3+ years of Strategy consulting experience within a consulting firm or relevant experience combined with an MBA
  • Proven track record in delivering strategic consulting engagements, with working experience in standard methodologies and frameworks that could be developed and leveraged within Alpha
  • Experienced in supporting clients with strategic planning cycles, including conducting market and competitive analysis and developing go-to-market strategies
  • Experienced in organisational design and restructuring within the Asset & Wealth Management sector.
  • 2:1 degree or higher from a reputable university
