Senior Business Development Manager

North America

About Aiviq

Aiviq is a fintech software company transforming how asset managers globally process, analyze, and leverage their data. Our platform powers critical business processes for leading financial institutions worldwide – spanning master data management, data attribution, rebate management, and data governance – helping them drive efficiency and growth. We are in an exciting phase of North American expansion, and this role sits at the heart of that.

Position Overview

The Senior Business Development Manager will be an early and high-impact member of Aiviq’s North America team, working directly alongside the Head of North America to identify, engage, and progress strategic client opportunities across the asset management vertical. This is a hands-on commercial role with significant exposure across the full sales lifecycle – from prospecting and discovery through to solution scoping, contractual support, and account management.

This is explicitly a role with a growth trajectory. We are looking for a candidate who is ambitious, commercially curious, and eager to develop into a more senior commercial position as Aiviq’s North America business scales. You will not be managed from a distance – you will be in the room, on the calls, and building the muscle to take on more over time.

Core Responsibilities

Pipeline & Business Development

  • Research and identify target accounts within the asset management vertical, including institutional managers, wealth platforms, and fund administrators
  • Lead outbound prospecting via direct outreach, LinkedIn, industry events, and referral networks
  • Qualify inbound and outbound leads, managing early-stage discovery conversations with relevant buyer stakeholders (CDOs, COOs, Heads of Distribution, Client Analytics)
  • Maintain and manage CRM pipeline with accurate activity tracking, forecasting, and follow-through

Sales Cycle Support

  • Support the Head of North America across active sales pursuits – including preparation of pitch materials, business cases, solution overviews, and tailored presentations
  • Participate in and contribute to client discovery sessions and solution scoping workshops
  • Help coordinate proof-of-concept (PoC) engagements and internal stakeholder alignment across product and technical teams
  • Assist with the preparation and review of proposals, statements of work, and commercial terms, including support for legal and contractual negotiation processes

Account Management Support

  • Support ongoing relationships with existing Aiviq clients in North America, including regular check-ins, renewal coordination, and identification of expansion opportunities
  • Act as a point of contact for day-to-day client queries, coordinating responses across internal teams (Product, Engineering, Client Success)
  • Assist in tracking client health, usage, and satisfaction signals to flag risks and opportunities early
  • Contribute to account planning and QBR (Quarterly Business Review) preparation for key accounts

Market & Platform Knowledge

  • Develop a strong working knowledge of Aiviq’s software platform – including its data management, attribution, rebate, and governance modules – to credibly represent the product in client conversations
  • Map client use cases to specific Aiviq capabilities; understand where the platform adds most value and where gaps exist
  • Track industry trends, regulatory developments, and competitive dynamics in the asset management data and software space
  • Contribute to the internal feedback loop between client conversations and the Aiviq product roadmap

Your Qualifications

Experience & Background

  • 5-10 years of experience in a commercial, sales, or client-facing role – ideally within a B2B software, SaaS, or fintech environment
  • Financial services and investment management expertise required, experience with client data a plus
  • Familiarity with enterprise software sales cycles, including multi-stakeholder environments, is advantageous
  • Experience with CRM tools (Salesforce or equivalent) and a comfort with pipeline management

Software & Technical Aptitude

  • Genuine interest in software and data platforms – you do not need to be a developer, but you should be comfortable learning how a complex enterprise product works and speaking to it confidently
  • Exposure to or curiosity about data management concepts (master data, data pipelines, APIs, cloud platforms such as Snowflake) is a plus
  • Comfortable preparing and delivering clear, well-structured presentations and written materials

Commercial & Interpersonal Skills

  • Strong written and verbal communication – able to articulate value clearly to a range of audiences
  • Organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously
  • Collaborative and proactive – you take initiative and follow through
  • Comfortable in a startup environment where priorities can shift and autonomy is expected

Your Path to Growth

This role is designed to grow with you. As Aiviq’s North America presence expands, we expect this position to evolve – and we are actively looking for a candidate who wants to grow into a more senior commercial role over time. A clear development pathway is built into this position:

BDR → Commercial Foundation: In your first 6–12 months:

  • You will build deep knowledge of Aiviq’s platform, client base, and North America go-to-market motion. You will be running your own pipeline, owning prospecting, and supporting live deals from discovery through close.

Account Executive / Commercial Lead: In year 2 and beyond:

  • As Aiviq’s North America client base grows, high performers in this role will have the opportunity to move into full ownership of deal cycles, strategic accounts, and eventually team leadership.

We will support your development with structured onboarding, direct mentorship from senior leadership, exposure to every part of the business, and a genuine commitment to promoting from within.

What We Offer

  • An early and high-visibility seat in a fast-growing fintech expanding its North America footprint
  • Direct mentorship and day-to-day collaboration with senior Aiviq leadership
  • Genuine career progression – a built-in path from BDR to senior commercial roles
  • Exposure to the full commercial lifecycle including sales, account management, contractual negotiation, and product feedback
  • Competitive base salary with performance-linked incentives
  • Hybrid working model with flexibility and genuine work-life balance
  • Professional development budget and support

Aiviq is an equal opportunity employer and values diversity in our workforce. This role will be based in the United States to support the build-out of our North America team. We operate as a hybrid team with frequent remote working and broader flexible working options available.

Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
