Roles and Responsibilities:

We have a fast-growing team of dedicated consultants with deep experience from working both within the industry and consulting. Successful candidates should expect a diverse range of complex and strategic engagements across the Insurance market. As we continue to expand our client base and expertise, we are looking for individuals to join our team to support our growth journey. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Business Analyst with a strong focus on Wealth Management Servicing within the Insurance Life and Annuity sector. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in the operational and data requirements of wealth management products, acting as a crucial liaison between our wealth management clients/product owners and the internal SaaS development teams. This role is central to translating complex client and product needs into actionable technical requirements that enhance our wealth management product offerings. Please see below an outline of the responsibilities of the role as well as the requirements.

As a BA/Product Owner, you will be responsible for: 

  • Serve as the primary subject matter expert (SME) to gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements from Wealth Management stakeholders and Product Teams.
  • Focus on the servicing lifecycle of life and annuity wealth products, including transfers, rollovers, distributions, beneficiary changes, and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Develop detailed documentation, including user stories, process flows, data mappings, and functional specifications for the SaaS development team.
  • Collaborate closely with the product team, developers, and QA to ensure a clear understanding of the wealth management needs and successful implementation of features.
  • Drive the execution of wealth management client needs by translating product vision into technical user stories and managing the feature backlog.
  • Participate in sprint planning, testing, and deployment activities, ensuring delivered solutions meet business requirements and quality standards.
  • Analyze and define the forms, data requirements, and data standards necessary for seamless wealth management servicing and regulatory reporting.
  • Act as the bridge between technical teams and business units, ensuring clear and consistent communication on project status, risks, and changes.

We want to hear from people with: 

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, or related fields along with at least 4 years of experience as a Business Analyst or similar within Wealth Management, Brokerage, or Financial Services.
  • Experience working within the Insurance Life and Annuity carrier environment.
  • Deep operational knowledge of Wealth Management servicing processes, including account opening, maintenance, transaction processing, and data requirements for regulatory forms and client statements.
  • Proven ability to translate complex business needs into technical specifications for SaaS product development teams.
  • Prior experience in defining integration requirements with major custodians/clearing firms, such as Pershing, Fidelity, and Schwab, is highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban).
  • Exceptional analytical, communication (written and verbal), and problem-solving skills.

There are a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to - skill sets, experience and training, and licensure and certifications. A reasonable estimate of the range is $125,000 to $150,000 subject to change based on salary benchmarking. In addition to this salary, employees would be eligible for both variable and non-variable benefits.
