We are currently seeking motivated and experienced Heavy Civil Laborers to join our team! As a Laborer, you will work under the direction of the Foreman to perform a variety of construction-related tasks. This role involves heavy lifting, digging, equipment cleaning, site preparation, pipe system assembly, and operating construction tools and equipment. If you have prior construction labor experience and are skilled in using hand tools and operating mechanical equipment, we encourage you to apply.

How you will make an impact....

  • Perform a variety of construction-related tasks under the direction of the Foreman, including heavy lifting, digging, equipment cleaning, and preparing construction sites to eliminate possible hazards.
  • Assemble, connect, and construct pipe systems for storm or sanitation sewers, drains, and water mains.
  • Signal equipment operators to assist with the alignment, movement, or adjustment of machinery, equipment, or materials.
  • Maintain visual and audible contact with crew members and all moving or stationary persons, vehicles, or objects to ensure safe coordination of movement.
  • Dig trenches, backfill excavations, compact and level earth to grade specifications using shovels, picks, rakes, compactors, etc.
  • Operate construction tools and equipment such as power tools, rollers, and skid loaders.
  • Perform traffic flagging around work zones.
  • Load, unload, transport, and stage construction materials, equipment, and tools.
  • Assist with excavation, underground utilities, concrete work, and general site preparation duties.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What you will have...

  • Minimum one (1) year of construction labor experience (Civil Industry preferred).
  • Must be able to work in all areas of the island.
  • Must be able to physically lift and carry up to 100 lbs.
  • Must be able to climb on, off, and under various pieces of equipment, and physically access all parts of equipment to perform job requirements.
  • Skilled in using hand tools and operating mechanical equipment.
  • Offer of employment contingent upon passing a pre-employment drug test.

Compensation: $25 - $30 per hour, based on experience.
