What you'll do..

The Class A Truck Driver is responsible for safely and efficiently operating a tractor trailer, transporting equipment, supplies, and earthen materials to various locations on a predetermined route. This role involves manually unloading and delivering materials, ensuring timely deliveries, and adhering to all safety regulations and company policies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely operate and drive the assigned tractor trailer to various locations while adhering to company guidelines and safety standards.
  • Follow the predetermined route and ensure timely deliveries to all scheduled locations.
  • Properly secure the trailer to the tractor unit, ensuring that it is attached safely and securely.
  • Perform pre- and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, identifying any maintenance or mechanical issues. Notify the Equipment Manager of any major issues encountered during trips.
  • Adhere to all DOT regulations, traffic laws, and weather/road conditions while driving. Maintain a clean vehicle, both inside and out, ensuring it is in good working order.
  • Treat customers with respect and courtesy while promoting a positive company image. Ensure that all deliveries are completed as scheduled and as efficiently as possible.
  • Maintain detailed delivery logs, including driving hours, route information, and any other relevant documentation.
  • Manually unload and deliver equipment and materials as needed. Lift up to 50 lbs and be able to climb on, off, and under equipment to perform job requirements.

 

 

About you..

  • Minimum two (2) years of CDL driving experience required.
  • Valid Class A CDL required.
  • Skills:
    • Clean driving record and ability to meet DOT driving standards.
    • Ability to lift 50 lbs and work physically in various conditions.
    • Strong organizational and time management skills.
    • Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in deliveries and log maintenance.
    • Effective communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
    • High integrity and ethical standards, ensuring accountability and confidentiality.
    • Safety-focused with a commitment to workplace safety laws and standards.

The compensation will vary based on experience ranging between $32-$35 per hour.
