Salary:  $275,000 - $350,000 (bonus eligible) 

The Opportunity

Alpha Inc. is seeking a decisive, strategic Chief Operating Officer (COO) to lead with precision, drive execution, and elevate performance across our construction, concrete, and energy divisions. This role is designed for a builder—not just of systems, but of culture, teams, and results. As part of the Executive Leadership Team, the COO will take full ownership of operational execution—from field performance to profitability and quality. You’ll lead a growing workforce, deliver high-impact projects, and reinforce the Alpha standard across every touchpoint. You’ll do more than hit targets—you’ll shape the operational rhythm that powers Alpha’s growth.

What You Will Do

Drive Operational Excellence

  • Lead field operations, project management, scheduling, and resource allocation across all divisions.

  • Own P&L accountability and ensure profitability, quality, and on-time delivery on every project.

  • Champion a culture of proactive safety and zero compromise on risk.

  • Enforce operational KPIs and performance rhythms for transparency and accountability.

Build High-Performing Teams

  • Set clear performance metrics and hold teams accountable to outcomes.

  • Coach project leaders and superintendents to anticipate challenges and adjust in real time.

  • Foster an environment of continuous feedback, skill development, and cross-functional trust.

  • Resolve conflict quickly and constructively to maintain operational alignment.

Execute with Strategy and Speed

  • Translate strategic priorities into day-to-day execution across the business.

  • Spot emerging issues early and act with confidence to correct course.

  • Partner with the CEO and CRO to align delivery, growth, and client success.

  • Leverage systems, dashboards, and reporting tools to scale visibility and control.

What You Bring

  • 10+ years of leadership in operations, with experience in construction, infrastructure, or industrial services.

  • Proven track record managing field teams, project delivery, and full P&L responsibility.

  • Deep knowledge of safety systems, quality protocols, and operational workflows.

  • Strong ability to lead through complexity and maintain precision under pressure.

  • High emotional intelligence and strong interpersonal skills for building trust and resolving conflict.

  • Strategic operator who understands the details but always executes with the big picture in mind.

  • Proficiency with project tracking systems, dashboards, and reporting tools to drive performance.
