What You Will Do

Compensation Strategy & Operations

  • Build and maintain job architecture, salary bands, and leveling frameworks across roles and departments.
  • Lead annual compensation cycles — merit reviews, bonuses, and market adjustments.
  • Partner with Finance on budgeting, workforce planning, and incentive programs.
  • Conduct ongoing market benchmarking and internal equity reviews.
  • Develop compensation policies, training, and communication tools for managers.

 

Benefits Management & Strategy

  • Oversee Alpha’s benefits programs, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k), and voluntary offerings.
  • Manage open enrollment, renewals, and vendor relationships to ensure quality and cost effectiveness.
  • Act as the primary contact for employee benefit inquiries, providing timely and supportive guidance.
  • Ensure compliance with ACA, ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA, and Hawaii-specific mandates.
  • Track utilization, costs, and feedback to continuously improve benefit offerings.
  • Support leave of absence and accommodation processes in partnership with Employee Relations.

 

Systems, Scaling & Enablement

  • Optimize workflows between HRIS, payroll, and benefits systems.
  • Implement scalable tools and processes to enhance total rewards operations.
  • Develop dashboards and KPIs to evaluate program performance and equity.

 

What You Bring

  • 4–6+ years of progressive experience in compensation, benefits, or total rewards.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to balance compliance and compassion.
  • Proven experience developing and managing compensation structures and benefits programs.
  • Deep understanding of federal and state-level employment and benefits regulations (Hawaii experience a plus).
  • Advanced Excel/Sheets skills; familiarity with HRIS and benchmarking tools.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills across all levels.
  • High integrity, discretion, and commitment to confidentiality.
  • A mindset grounded in systems thinking, accountability, and heart.
