Data Engineer 100% Remote
Role Summary
We’re looking for a Data Engineer to build and own our data infrastructure from the ground up.
In this role, you will transform fragmented data sources into a centralized, scalable, and reliable data platform that powers reporting, analytics, and decision-making across the company.
Your work will directly enable teams across marketing, finance, operations, and product to operate with accurate, trusted data; eliminating manual work, inconsistencies, and reporting gaps.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines that transform raw data into analytics-ready datasets
- Develop clean, structured data models that standardize business metrics and reporting
- Implement data quality checks, testing frameworks, and monitoring systems to ensure reliability
- Build and maintain integrations with APIs, databases, and third-party tools
- Design and manage the data warehouse architecture for scalability and performance
- Optimize pipeline performance, cost efficiency, and data processing workflows
- Partner with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into technical data solutions
What Success Looks Like
- A fully operational, scalable data warehouse with core business data centralized
- Reliable, automated pipelines with minimal failures and no manual dependencies
- Consistent, standardized metrics across all dashboards and teams
- High trust in data across the organization, enabling faster and better decisions
Who You Are:
- You think in systems and build for long-term scalability, not quick fixes
- You take full ownership of data accuracy and reliability
- You move fast but don’t compromise data integrity
- You proactively identify issues and solve problems before they impact the business
- You collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Experience & Skills:
- 3–6+ years of experience in Data Engineering or similar roles
- Strong Python and advanced SQL (joins, aggregations, window functions, optimization)
- Experience building and maintaining production-grade data pipelines
- Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and data modeling
- Experience working with APIs, cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred), and modern data stacks
Nice to have:
- Experience in eCommerce or DTC environments
- Familiarity with tools like BigQuery, Snowflake, Redshift, dbt, Airflow, Fivetran, or Airbyte
- Exposure to marketing analytics (CAC, LTV, attribution models)
