About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Director of Pricing & Packaging to lead and evolve the company’s global pricing and packaging strategy. This leadership role is responsible for setting the vision and driving execution for pricing and packaging as a core growth lever, ensuring alignment with AlphaSense’s go-to-market strategy, product roadmap, and financial goals.
You will own pricing strategy end-to-end—from vision through execution—partnering cross-functionally to define frameworks, optimize monetization across product lines, and evolve our pricing model in a rapidly changing market, including the rise of AI-enabled workflows. Your work will directly impact revenue, customer retention, unit economics, and competitive differentiation across all customer segments and geographies.
What You’ll Do
- Own the Global Pricing & Packaging Strategy: Define and execute a long-term pricing strategy that aligns with AlphaSense’s business model, growth goals, and product evolution—including our increasing AI-driven capabilities.
- Partner for Strategic Impact: Act as the connective tissue across product, finance, marketing, sales, and customer success to ensure pricing and packaging decisions are informed by deep market understanding, operational feasibility, and customer insights.
- Drive Monetization of Innovation: Develop monetization strategies for new product lines, AI capabilities, usage models, and tiered offerings. Translate technical innovation into commercial value.
- Design for Customer Behavior: Understand how buying behaviors vary by region, segment, and use case. Tailor pricing models to different markets while ensuring cohesion across the portfolio.
- Lead with Insight: Build and maintain competitive intelligence on industry pricing trends, packaging innovations, and customer willingness-to-pay. Embed rigorous data analysis and modeling in decision-making.
- Own Governance & Execution: Establish a scalable pricing governance process, ensuring internal alignment, operational readiness, and change management for any new pricing models or updates.
- Forecast and Optimize: Partner with finance to model revenue, margin, and retention impacts of pricing scenarios. Track and optimize pricing performance KPIs.
- Be a Change Leader: Champion pricing and packaging as strategic capabilities across the company. Influence stakeholders at all levels with compelling business cases and storytelling.
Who You Are
- Proven Pricing Leader: 10+ years of experience in B2B SaaS pricing and packaging, with at least 3–5 years in a senior leadership or strategic ownership role.
- Experience with Complex B2B Customers: You understand how financial institutions, corporations, consulting firms, and professional services organizations evaluate and purchase software, and know how to design pricing and packaging that aligns with their high-stakes needs and structured buying processes.
- AI-Savvy Operator: Familiarity with how GenAI is reshaping product delivery, user workflows, and commercial models and ready to adapt pricing strategy accordingly.
- Cross-Functional Orchestrator: Experienced in partnering with product, marketing, finance, sales, and customer success to drive cross-company alignment and execution.
- Analytical & Strategic Thinker: Strong modeling skills and comfort with data-driven decision-making, combined with the ability to zoom out to strategic impact.
- Customer-Centric Mindset: Empathy for end-users and buyers. Skilled at interpreting qualitative feedback and usage data into actionable pricing insights.
- Excellent Communicator: Capable of influencing executive stakeholders and driving decisions without direct authority. Strong executive presence and storytelling ability.
- Builder at Heart: Thrives in high-growth, fast-paced environments. Comfortable creating structure from ambiguity and scaling systems for the future.
For base compensation, we set standard ranges for all US-based roles based on function and level benchmarked against similar stage growth companies and internal comparables. In order to be compliant with local legislation, as well as to provide greater transparency to candidates, we share salary ranges on all job postings regardless of desired hiring location. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate experience/expertise and may vary from the amounts listed below.
You may also be offered a performance-based bonus, equity, and a generous benefits program.
Base Compensation Range
$230,000 - $250,000 USD
