About the Role

We are seeking a proven, strategic, and hands-on leader to serve as our Director of Global Workplace & Facilities. This role will be instrumental in overseeing all aspects of our global real estate portfolio and facilities management as we continue scaling our high-growth SaaS business.

The Director will own the strategy, operations, and standards for our physical locations, ensuring operational rigor, cost efficiency, regulatory compliance, and a world-class employee experience. This is a highly visible leadership position requiring an experienced operator who thrives in high-growth environments, is detail-oriented, and can drive organizational maturity while maintaining agility.

Who You Are

  • 10+ years of progressive facilities and real estate management experience, including a minimum of 5 years managing an international, multi-site corporate portfolio.
  • 5+ years of experience leading and scaling high-performing, geographically distributed facilities teams.
  • Deep expertise in global corporate real estate strategies, lease administration, site selection, and construction/project management for office fit-outs.
  • Proven track record of managing multi-million dollar OpEx and CapEx budgets, delivering cost efficiencies without compromising quality or safety.
  • Expert knowledge of facility systems, safety protocols, and physical security standards (e.g., OSHA, local regulatory compliance).
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to translate strategic workplace trends into actionable insights for executive leadership and long-term planning.
  • Exceptional communication, executive presence, and cross-functional partnership skills across Finance, Legal, People/HR, and IT.

What You'll Do

I. Global Facilities Operations & Standards

  • Own the rigor, quality, and timeliness of all day-to-day facilities operations, including maintenance, repairs, and service contracts across the global portfolio.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain consistent operational procedures and high-quality physical standards across all offices to ensure a unified global employee experience.
  • Select, negotiate, and rigorously manage all critical third-party vendors (cleaning, security, maintenance, food services) to ensure performance meets established SLAs and budget targets.

II. Real Estate Portfolio Strategy & Management

  • Lead the corporate real estate strategy, partnering with Finance and Legal on lease administration, critical date tracking, market analysis, and renewals/terminations.
  • Direct all capital projects for office build-outs and major renovations, ensuring seamless execution, adherence to budget, and compliance with global design guidelines.
  • Develop and manage space utilization models and occupancy planning strategies that align with AlphaSense’s hybrid work model and support future global headcount growth.

III. Workplace Experience & Safety

  • Serve as the primary internal champion for the physical workplace environment, ensuring the infrastructure and amenities promote a safe, productive, and inspiring atmosphere globally.
  • Oversee the infrastructure for physical office security (access control, visitor management) and lead the development of robust emergency preparedness and business continuity plans.

Collaborate with the People and IT teams to ensure the physical environment and office services support employee connection and a seamless technological experience.
