About the Role:
Reporting to the Senior Director, Global Benefits & Wellness, the Global Benefits Specialist will contribute to the success of our People Operations team by using your benefits expertise to support our employees across our global organization. In this role, you will collaborate with Finance, Legal, Talent Acquisition, and People Operations teams to address both regional and global benefit needs while ensuring compliance with applicable local regulations. You will assist in administering and maintaining high-quality benefit programs that align with the organization’s goals and help attract and retain top talent.
This role will be focused on benefits in India and Singapore, as well as providing backup on benefits in EMEA. However, the scope of countries and supporting responsibilities may shift periodically as we grow and scale.
What You’ll Do:
- Manage and administer employee benefit programs, including but not limited to insurance plans, time off policies, wellness initiatives, and other non-salary compensation for your primary and backup countries.
- Maintain compliance with local labor laws and regulations.
- Provide guidance to employees on benefits and address inquiries or concerns.
- Collaborate with external vendors to ensure timely and accurate delivery of benefit services
- Assist in global benefits harmonization efforts and the sharing and creation of best practices across regions.
- Support benefits-related updates or enhancements in Workday and other systems.
- Draft, maintain, and optimize process and policy documentation related to benefits.
- Manage benefits invoice reconciliation in collaboration with our Finance team.
- Assist with annual benefit renewal and enrollment processes and the implementation of new programs.
Who You Are:
- You have a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, preferred.
- You are a benefits professional with 5-8 years of experience in Human Resources with 2-3 years of global benefits-specific experience; experience working for pre-IPO and/or publicly traded companies preferred.
- You’re proficient at using Workday for benefits management strongly preferred.
- You have strong knowledge of local labor laws in India and Singapore; familiarity with EMEA regulations is a plus.
- You are a strong communicator, with the ability to adjust messaging based on audience and employee needs.
- You are proficient at using Google Sheets and Excel to audit and analyze data with full attention to detail.
- You’re comfortable working in a fast-paced, sometimes “messy” environment but also thrive on organizing the “mess” by building reports, templates, process documents, and other resources to support yourself, the team, and employees.
