Chief of Staff
New York City
Alt is unlocking the value of alternative assets, starting with the $5 B trading-card market. We let collectors buy, sell, vault, and finance their cards in one place and we are backed by leaders at Stripe, Coinbase, Seven Seven Six, and pro athletes like Tom Brady and Giannis Antetokounmpo. Our next frontier is real-time pricing at scale—the Alt Value that powers every trade, loan, and product on the platform.
Why this role and why now?
Alt is in a period of rapid growth and operational scale. We are building a category-defining platform at the intersection of technology, collectibles, and liquidity, and the company is experiencing the natural complexity that comes with momentum: more customers, more products, more stakeholders, and more decisions that need to move quickly and stay aligned.
Behind the scenes, Alt operates with a lean, highly empowered executive team focused on building the future of selling collectibles. As we continue to scale, we are looking for a Chief of Staff who can bring structure to ambiguity, act as a force multiplier for the CEO, and help the leadership team operate with clarity, speed, and discipline.
This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives in fast-moving environments, wants end-to-end ownership, and is excited by a front-row seat to company-building during a critical growth phase.
Mission: Serve as the CEO’s force multiplier by owning cross-functional operations, strategic programs, and executive communication rhythms so leadership can stay focused on vision, execution, and growth.
Core Responsibilities:
Executive Operations & “Air Traffic Control”
- Orchestrate core executive and leadership meetings, including weekly operating reviews, bi-weekly strategy sessions, and company-wide forums
- Prepare agendas, materials, and pre-reads; capture decisions and action items; and ensure consistent follow-through
- Own the cadence and hygiene of weekly planning and progress reporting across leadership
- Identify gaps, bottlenecks, or ownership issues across teams and proactively help resolve them
Strategic Planning & Company Cadence
- Quarterback the quarterly planning process, including strategy documentation, cross-functional alignment, and executive storytelling
- Support leadership offsites and major planning moments, whether in-person or remote
- Translate high-level strategy into clear communication artifacts for the broader company
- Ensure alignment between quarterly strategy, leadership messaging, and ongoing execution
Investor Relations & Board Operations
- Lead preparation of monthly investor communications, coordinating inputs across finance, product, and leadership
- Own the production of quarterly board materials, including timelines, drafts, and pre-reads
- Act as a partner to the CEO during investor interactions, capturing follow-ups and ensuring momentum
- Support fundraising efforts as needed, including diligence coordination and materials management
Legal & External Partner Coordination
- Serve as the point of contact for outside counsel and legal vendors
- Track legal deliverables, timelines, and priorities across the business
- Support internal teams with contract reviews, policy updates, and operational legal questions
- Manage legal invoices and ensure clear visibility into ongoing legal work
Recruiting, Onboarding & Company Culture
- Support priority hiring efforts in partnership with leadership
- Help coordinate onboarding for new leaders and key hires
- Play an active role in organizing company and leadership offsites
- Support initiatives that strengthen communication, clarity, and culture as the company scales
Fund & Special Projects Support
- Support administration and investor communication for affiliated investment vehicles, as needed
- Help manage special projects that sit outside day-to-day operations, including unique transactions or partnerships
- Serve as a flexible resource for high-priority initiatives that require executive coordination
What Success Looks Like:
- Leadership meetings are focused, well-run, and action-oriented
- Strategy is clearly communicated and consistently reinforced
- Investors and board members receive timely, thoughtful, and well-structured updates
- The CEO’s time is protected and leveraged effectively
- Cross-functional work moves faster with fewer dropped balls and clearer ownership
Who You Are:
- You thrive in fast-growing, ambiguous environments
- You are highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable owning complex processes
- You can zoom out to strategy and zoom in to execution with ease
- You communicate clearly and confidently with executives and external stakeholders
- You are proactive, resourceful, and comfortable being the connective tissue across teams
