Senior Director of Research and Content

The Opportunity at Altana
The Senior Director of Research and Content Marketing will be responsible for development of written and audio content for Altana’s key audiences across the public and private sectors, helping the company to (i) define the category of Value Chain Management, (ii) develop and activate a community of customers, users, influencers, and (iii) promote the uses and benefits of Altana. Furthermore the Senior Director of Research and Content Marketing will support the team expanding and strengthening the Altana community by developing relationships with industry professionals, policymakers, executives, users, and customers.
The Senior Director of Research and Content Marketing will report to Altana’s Chief Marketing Officer and work cross functionally with Altana’s product management, go-to-market, network development, and product marketing teams.
You Will:
- Develop and publish thought leadership and research through various media outlets and publications to increase brand awareness in target industries, establish Altana as an industry leader, and help us to define the category around Value Chain Management.
- Promote the benefits and applications of Altana’s Value Chain Management System to current and prospective customers through content such as webinars, long-form research, podcasts, and other written and video assets; content will span key topics including emerging policies and regulations, economic security, supply chain resilience, and sustainability.
- Develop and manage the company’s research agenda including deep quantitative and qualitative research of policy issues, macro-economic trends, market and industry events, and the development of broad-based benchmarking, forecasting, and scenario analysis leveraging the Altana knowledge graph. Act as the knowledge hub for the Altana team on key issues.
- Contribute to social media, email campaigns, and scale the distribution of newsletter by featuring key metrics, data, and visualizations from Altana’s knowledge graph.
- Generate timely, event-based content to distribute to customers and prospective customers, leveraging Altana to detail the systemic impacts of the event.
- Support the team expanding and strengthening the Altana community, developing relationships with industry professionals, policymakers, executives, users, and customers. Develop online and in-person forums for users and customers to engage with Altana.
- Speak at and attend key conferences and industry events - including Altana hosted events.
- Contribute to key client advisory efforts, change management, and scenario analysis, including through, potentially, the establishment of a paid advisory service.
About You
- Proven track record of success in developing deep research and thought leadership, preferably within complex and data oriented environments.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve ambitious goals.
- Exceptional strategic thinking, problem-solving, and analytical abilities.
- Excellent communication, writing, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across functions and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Ideally, knowledge and demonstrated interest in our domain.
This role is based in New York City and candidates must be within commuting distance from our Brooklyn, NY offices.
