Your customers are Altana’s customer-facing applications and their end-user requirements, as well as third party applications and their developers who are building on the Altana platform.

In this leadership role, you will oversee a team of technical product managers. You will partner with Altana’s CTO, engineering and AI leadership, and the product line managers and designers overseeing Altana’s front-end product lines. You will collaborate with product marketing to communicate technical concepts and value propositions to our customers, manage API documentation, and maintain internal documentation and knowledgebases for the benefit of Altana’s developers, product managers, designers. You will initially report to the CEO of Altana until such time as a Chief Product Officer is hired.

Some key platform surface areas under your stewardship include:

  • Federated Data Platform and Knowledge Graph: Altana has pioneered a unique hub-and-spoke federated data platform that connects customer data securely and privately with Altana’s knowledge graph - the world’s most comprehensive map of the global supply chain. We deliver the graph, and match customer data to the graph, across federated deployments that include multiple cloud providers, classified environments, and multiple geographies.
  • Machine Learning Services:  You’ll help to apply the latest artificial intelligence technologies to a massive, globally-unique dataset in combination with customer data. You will oversee the product strategy for how we apply AI consistently and efficiently across our product surface areas, and engage in how our product feedback loop creates a differential dataset.
  • Search and Network Analysis: You will deliver a unified set of APIs and services that enable our customers to find what they are looking for in the graph, match and manage their data in the graph, and receive insights from the combined data. You will serve some of the latest technologies across LLMs, graph neural networks, and agentic AI to help our customers get to insights and to answers.
  • Customer Data Management and Permissioning: Altana works with many of the world’s most important government agencies, enterprises, and service providers. They have complex requirements for role-based access controls, data and feature entitlements, and use case-sensitive collaboration authorizations. You will oversee the system-level design and delivery of data onboarding and curation, user registries and permissioning, audit logs, and security services that enable Altana products to serve sensitive, critical missions across national security, global trade, financial services underwriting, compliance, and more.
  • Collaboration Services: You will be responsible for the core tools and systems for collaboration across Altana’s platform: the systems for claiming and managing organizational profiles and managing user registries, the systems for communicating and linking data across organizations and their systems of record, and the commenting and chat functions that enable users to connect with each other both within an organization and across organizations. You will work with Altana’s product line managers and designers to build delightful, intuitive, and engaging collaboration functionality that can be embedded across workflows and user experiences.

Your Responsibilities

  • Partner with the founders and the CTO to both execute and advance the product vision and strategy.
  • Own and execute the roadmap for Altana’s platform capabilities and services.
  • Manage a team of Technical Product Managers and collaborate with the Product Line Managers and Designers in the Product Organization to ensure that the platform delivers unified, scalable, and stable APIs and services that meet our product requirements.
  • Collaborate with engineering, commercial teams, internal subject matter experts and external customers to translate market, product, and workflow requirements into requirements for shared platform services.
  • Maintain the documentation and knowledge management systems to enable Altana PMs, designers, and developers to build on the Altana platform. Partner with Product Marketing to enable third-party developers to build on Altana.

About You

  • Significant experience (generally 10+years) as a technology and/or product leader in a complex B2B space with multiple stakeholders.
  • Experience building and managing high performing teams in a matrixed environment.
  • Entrepreneurial drive and spirit to deliver business results with full ownership and accountability of outcomes. You have gone from zero to one, and you have built for scale.
  • Demonstrated success identifying commonalities across seemingly disparate user groups and workflows, and synthesizing shared services and experiences.
  • Business-driven with a passion for technology - you crave identifying, defining, and solving user challenges through sophisticated technology delivered in intuitive user experiences.
  • Excellent communication skills to clearly and concisely communicate complex topics to diverse stakeholders (engineers, customers, etc.) in written and verbal form.

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
