
Wire Harness Technician

As wiring harness lab technician, you support the development of new truck wiring systems by implementing changes in existing wiring harness, by modifying and repairing existing parts in the lab or on the truck and by building new prototype harnesses in the lab.
Responsibilities;
- Organizes and maintains lab equipment, tools and supplies
- Organizes and maintains inventory of wiring harness components to be used for prototype manufacturing and repairs
- Modify existing wiring harnesses to implement changes as directed by the wiring engineer
- Build prototype wiring harnesses or cables according to design provided by the wiring harness engineer
- Check wiring harnesses for implementation of temporary changes by supplier
- Supports in troubleshooting wiring problem
- Authors problem reports for wiring harness defects identified in the wiring lab
Qualifications;
- 5+ years experience with wiring design, manufacturing and/or repair
- Associate Engineering degree or related professional trade education
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
- Ability to work fully onsite in Greensboro, North Carolina
- Experience with wiring harness manufacturing and repair tools
- Experience with lab inventory control methods
- Experience with automotive or commercial electrical troubleshooting
- Commercial vehicle or automotive wiring harness manufacturing or repair experience
- In depth knowledge of automotive connector suppliers and connector families
Salary Range: $75,000 - $80,000
The actual salary offered is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, the candidate’s combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience.
