As the Senior Electrical Distribution System Engineer, you will be responsible for:
Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain detailed electrical system schematics from concept through production, including wire selection, fusing, and grounding strategies.

Create, update, and manage schematic markups, test plans, and test reports throughout the product lifecycle.

Perform design verification of schematics by conducting wire temperature analysis, voltage drop analysis, and evaluating potential fault scenarios such as short circuits, overloads, and grounding faults.

Design and document the physical layout of electrical systems and subsystems within the vehicle.

Work collaboratively with component, system, and wiring harness engineering teams to ensure accurate system connectivity and interface representation.

Participate in design reviews and contribute technical insights to support ongoing system development.

Maintain schematic documentation using industry-recognized tools, ensuring compliance with automotive standards and engineering best practices.
Qualifications:

Strong experience in developing automotive electrical schematics and system documentation.

In-depth knowledge of wire harness design, development, and manufacturing processes.

Ability to analyze and verify electrical systems through detailed engineering evaluations (e.g., voltage drop, thermal analysis, and fault condition simulations).

Proficiency in maintaining documentation and ensuring alignment with industry and safety standards.

Preferred experience with wiring schematic tools such as Zuken E3, Capital Harness Systems (CHS), or similar platforms.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working across multidisciplinary engineering teams.
Salary Range: $110,000-120,000
The actual salary offered is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, the candidate’s combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience.
