
Account Manager

Responsibilities
Business Unit Development:
- Pursue new business opportunities with strategic accounts within automotive, and heavy equipment machinery industry
- Generate new leads through prospecting, networking, and customer outreach
- Partner with clients to understand technical and business needs in detail
- Own proposal development, review, and negotiation with the support of the technical team
- Complete negotiations on service-based engineering projects (fixed-price, delivery-based) or on time-based contracts (delegation of consultants)
Recruitment/HR:
- Continuously interview and match candidates in order to have already qualified talent ready to meet customer’s current and anticipated needs
- Being in charge of the consultant's career evolution (annual review, training). Coach consultants before client interviews and support them through onboarding
Management:
- Lead and manage your group of consultants, fostering professional growth and long-term engagement
- Participate in business unit strategic planning and operational reviews
- Define and deliver against team targets, contributing to regional ALTEN US goals
- Ensure customer satisfaction, project follow-up
- Manage your P&L statement for your business unit
Skills and qualifications
- 1-2 years of working experience in a technical field, or in recruitment or sales
- Minimum requirement is a bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or related field
- Sales/business development experience, preferably engineering services
- Willing and able to complete customer prospection, cold calling, and account management experience, preferred
- Recruitment experience is a plus
- Must be okay with occasional business travel (20%). Both for customer visits and internal collaboration meetings.
- Great social and analytical skills
- Must be a self-starter with the ability to keep a high energy level
- Competitive and self-driven mentality
Salary Range: $55,000-$65,000 + bonus
The actual salary offered is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, the candidate’s combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience
