The Vehicle Process Engineering General Assembly Conveyor Specialist will lead conveyor projects in design, construction, installation, and commissioning for new model launches in North America. The role of this specialist is to drive continuous improvements to standards of conveyor design and installation while meeting cost and timing requirements of the program.
- Supervising and managing conveyor installation and commissioning
- Managing and maintaining open conveyor issues pertaining to the designated areas assigned, ranging from design to install issues.
- Ensure timing and EEM milestones are on track.
- Reporting standardized updates to Program Manager
Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of manufacturing experience related to conveyor design and maintenance
- Strong computer skills in Excel, PowerPoint, Autodesk, Teamcenter
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Limited Travel domestic
- Self-motivated and works well in a team environment
- Ability to interface with both management and labor forces
- Ability to work overtime and travel as required
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree
- Skilled with AutoCAD and 2D and 3D drawing experience
- Plant Maintenance background
- Good understanding of (WCM) World Class Manufacturing methodologies/tools
