
Technical Designer

As a Technical Designer you will be responsible for;
• Supports proposal and presentation efforts through CAD models and illustrations
• Supports hardware procurement, up to and including interfacing with machine shops
• Assists program development efforts as needed by generating Bill of Materials for
assemblies, soliciting quotes from suppliers as needed, tracking delivery dates and ontime status, working to resolve issues, providing updates to Program Managers
• Assists Development and Test Engineers in conducting lab and field tests, set-up/tear
down of sensors and cameras, and assembly test articles and fixtures
• Additional tasks may include supporting prototyping, hardware assembly, development,
testing, and product qualification
Qualifications;
• Required Education: High School Diploma
• Preferred Education: Associate’s Degree or Bachelor’s Degree
• Candidate must be proficient in SolidWorks, 2+ years’ experience desired
• Prior experience creating CAD drawings and models
• Familiar with drawing conventions including geometric tolerances
• Strong mechanical aptitude and creativity in solving problems
• Must be able to read drawings, and technical diagrams
• Self-motivated, able to multi-task, work independently with minimal oversight
• Good communication and customer relationship skills are required
• Must be a U.S. Citizen
• Must hold or be able to obtain a DoD SECRET clearance
Salary Range: $60k-$75k
The actual salary offered is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, the candidate’s combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience
