As Systems Architecture Lead you will be responsible for;

Lead formal IT and digital architecture reviews across multiple programs and platforms, acting as the technical authority prior to solution approval and implementation.
• Review and challenge system, application, data, and infrastructure architectures to ensure alignment with enterprise IT standards and target architectures.
• Enforce compliance with internal IT architecture frameworks, cybersecurity policies, data governance standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Evaluate solution designs for scalability, resilience, performance, security, and integration across enterprise systems.
• Identify architectural risks, technical debt, and non‑standard solutions early, and guide teams toward compliant, sustainable designs.
• Act as a cross‑functional technical arbiter between application, infrastructure, cloud, network, and security teams to resolve design conflicts.
• Influence architectural decisions without direct authority through technical credibility, structured governance forums, and clear documentation.
• Maintain IT Architecture Review Boards (ARB), decision records, solution approvals, and architecture documentation.
• Ensure full traceability from business and technical requirements through solution architecture, implementation, and operational validation.
Qualifications;
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related discipline.
- 8+ years of experience in IT architecture roles such as Solution Architect, Systems Architect, or Lead Engineer within large enterprise environments.
- Proven experience in architecture governance, design authority, or enterprise architecture review functions.
- Strong understanding of enterprise IT architecture domains including applications, cloud platforms, infrastructure, networks, and cybersecurity.
- Familiarity with architecture frameworks and standards (TOGAF or similar), security and data governance principles, and compliance requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to challenge senior technical teams and drive alignment across multiple programs and stakeholders.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical audiences
Salary Range: $80,000 - $150,000
Location: Onsite in Kinston, NC
The actual salary offered is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, the candidate’s combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience
