Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Program Manager to lead the migration of critical shopfloor applications supporting manufacturing operations in Kinston, NC. This individual will be responsible for driving program execution from planning through deployment, ensuring alignment across technical teams, business stakeholders, and external partners. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in program or project management, experience supporting manufacturing or digital transformation initiatives, and a proven ability to manage complex projects involving multiple stakeholders, timelines, and technical dependencies.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the migration of shopfloor applications, ensuring successful delivery within scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Develop and manage program plans, project roadmaps, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams, including engineering, IT, manufacturing, vendors, and business stakeholders.
  • Manage project risks, issues, dependencies, and mitigation strategies throughout the program lifecycle.
  • Drive stakeholder communication and provide regular updates on project status, progress, and key decisions.
  • Oversee migration planning, cutover activities, system testing, validation, and deployment efforts.
  • Support change management initiatives to facilitate adoption of new systems and processes.
  • Ensure alignment between business objectives, operational requirements, and technical solutions.
  • Monitor program performance and implement corrective actions as needed to maintain project objectives.
  • Facilitate meetings, workshops, and decision-making sessions with key stakeholders.
  • Support data migration, application modernization, and system integration activities.
  • Promote collaboration across teams while maintaining focus on program goals and delivery commitments.
  • Operate effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment supporting digital transformation initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Information Technology, Project Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of program or project management experience.
  • Experience managing large-scale IT, manufacturing, or digital transformation projects.
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices.
  • Proven ability to manage scope, schedule, budget, risks, and stakeholder expectations.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and decision-making abilities.
  • Experience coordinating cross-functional teams and external vendors.
  • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with application migration, modernization, or enterprise system implementations.
  • Familiarity with SAP, MES, shopfloor systems, or manufacturing technology environments preferred.
  • Experience with data migration, testing strategies, deployment planning, and change management activities preferred.
  • Aerospace or manufacturing industry experience preferred.
  • PMP certification or equivalent project management credential preferred.

The successful candidate is a proactive and results-driven Program Manager who can effectively lead complex technology and manufacturing initiatives while building strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels. They possess exceptional organizational and communication skills, thrive in cross-functional environments, and have experience delivering digital transformation projects within manufacturing operations. A background in aerospace, SAP/MES systems, application migrations, or shopfloor technologies will be highly valued.
