Lead the planning and coordination of healthcare IT programs including gathering requirements and planning for systems selection, system design, testing implementation, systems integration, training, and system maintenance for client hospital and ambulatory settings. Position is 100% on-site at client site in southwest Pennsylvania. Candidate will work closely with client CIO, senior management and directors. Responsibilities include managing 50 employees supporting Altera and Non-Altera software applications in a large community health system.
Essential Functions
- Effective and efficient IT services that meet the needs of client hospitals.
- Prior leadership role in a Healthcare IT setting.
- Assists with the planning and implementation of enterprise information systems to support distributed and centralized clinical and business operations.
- Owns the facilitation of multi-way communication with key constituents on Information Technology matters.
- Assists in managing, monitoring and executing the hospital’s portfolio of projects in relation to Information Technology.
- Oversees the management of projects assigned from preparing project schedules and estimates through final implementation
- Account profitability which meets revenue and margin requirements set at the corporate level
- Effective management of the client relationship and resolution of client issues.
- Continuous risk management.
- Effective utilization and management of staff such that milestones/goals are obtained and staff is motivated and competent.
- For the roles that have direct reports, we have defined standard accountabilities that Allscripts expects every manager to deliver as regards to managing and developing their team members.
- Identify and recruit internal/external talents to ensure effective mix of competencies.
- Induct new joiners in order to quickly maximize performance
- Overall responsibility of hospital IT infrastructure including networks, servers and end-user devices
- Responsible for managing overall system security insuring security vulnerabilities are regularly assessed and mitigated
- Set and communicate team/individual objectives and KPI to inspire individuals to achieve high performance.
- Allocate work load to fully utilize every employee’s talent.
- Implement development plans and coach for individuals to reach their maximum talent.
- Provide regular constructive feedback on performance/development and address poor/mediocre performance on a timely manner.
- Recognize high performers to maintain motivation and retain key talent.
- Regularly communicate on company news and team progress against business plan.
- Create team spirit.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree and relevant practical and managerial experience in assigned area (Preferred)
- 15+ years relevant work experience (Preferred)
- 10+ years experience in information technology management institution (Preferred)
- 7+ years relevant leadership experience including responsibility for organizational objectives and measurements (Preferred)
- Up to 10% travel may be required

Salary Range
$140,000 - $153,000 USD
