Altera Digital Health, a dynamic and growing healthcare software solutions provider, is seeking a Associate Manager of Accounting to join our finance team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the accurate and timely recording of revenue, while driving process improvements and contributing to the success of our financial close process.

Altera Digital Health (Altera) provides digital software solutions and support to large hospitals and physicians across variety of geographies. Altera’s software is backend mission critical software used by our customers deliver the best possible healthcare to patients across the globe.  
Altera was acquired by Harris Computer (a subsidiary of Constellation Software Inc. traded on the TSX as CSU.TO) in May 2022 and is their largest acquisition to date. The Altera business consists of 11 core businesses spread across several legal entities in various geographies. The Altera finance team consists of 100+ individuals and is truly an international operation with team members in India, Canada, USA, Israel, Australia, and more.   

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES  
  
Initially, you will focus on developing a strong individual contributor foundation and supporting the revenue accounting function. As your expertise and knowledge of business grows, you’ll have the opportunity to take on additional responsibilities. 
  
Revenue Process: Contribute to the end-to-end revenue recognition process. This includes ensuring appropriate application of IFRS 15 to complex customer contracts, building out sophisticated Excel workbooks to record the revenue, ensuring appropriate revenue recognition throughout the term of the contract, performing variance analysis, reviewing and preparing journal entries, and analyzing posted revenue to ensure the results are as expected.   

Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline revenue accounting processes and implement effective solutions.  

Audit Support: Provide support relating to Altera’s interim review and annual audit as it relates to revenue-related auditor requests and inquiries.    

Team Collaboration: Work closely with a wide variety of cross-functional teams (within and beyond finance) to ensure alignment and support revenue-related initiatives.  
  
QUALIFICATIONS  
  
•    3-5 years of relevant accounting experience  
•    Solid technical accounting skills, including an understanding of revenue recognition standards (IFRS 15)  
•    Skilled at identifying and implementing process improvements.   
•    Advanced proficiency in Excel  
•    Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities  
•    Strong attention to detail and accuracy  
•    Able to effectively work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment   
•    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills  
   
TRAVEL & LOCATION   
  
Remote role with minimal travel.

Salary Range

$80,000 - $90,000 CAD
