Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Windows Support System Engineer to manage and maintain our Windows-based systems, ensuring their optimal performance, reliability, and security. The role involves troubleshooting technical issues, performing system upgrades, and providing support for end-users, while also implementing best practices to enhance system stability and scalability.
Key Responsibilities
- System Administration:
- Install, configure, and maintain Windows servers.
- Manage Active Directory (AD), Group Policy, and domain controllers.
- Perform system backups, updates, and patches to ensure compliance and security.
- Technical Support:
- Provide Tier 2/3 support to resolve escalated technical issues.
- Monitor and troubleshoot system performance, network connectivity, and hardware issues.
- Assist end-users with software installations, configurations, and problem resolution.
- Security and Compliance:
- Implement and maintain security measures, including antivirus software, firewalls, and access controls.
- Monitor systems for vulnerabilities and apply necessary updates and patches.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Automation and Scripting:
- Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts for system automation and optimization.
- Utilize tools to automate repetitive tasks, such as user provisioning and log management.
- Project Support:
- Collaborate with IT teams on infrastructure projects, migrations, and upgrades.
- Participate in the planning and implementation of new technologies and systems.
- Documentation and Training:
- Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, procedures, and policies.
- Provide training and support to users on system tools and best practices.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Windows Support/System Engineer or similar role.
- Proficiency in Windows Server (2016/2019/2022) and Windows 10/11 operating systems.
- Strong knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy management.
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies (e.g., Hyper-V, VMware, Azure).
- Experience with cloud platforms like Microsoft Azure or AWS is a plus.
- Proficiency in scripting and automation (PowerShell preferred).
- Knowledge of backup and disaster recovery tools and practices.
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
Education and Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Relevant certifications, such as:
- Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
- ITIL Foundation (optional but beneficial).

- Willingness to work flexible hours and provide on-call support when required.
